Did you know that certain health conditions must be declared to the DVLA? Not doing so could land you with a Β£1,000 fine – or worse, prosecution if you're involved in an accident. 😬

Here are some of the most common conditions drivers must report:

🧠 Epilepsy or seizures
❀️ Heart conditions (like arrhythmia, pacemakers, angina)
😴 Sleep apnoea or extreme tiredness
πŸ‘ Vision problems (double vision, glaucoma, or not meeting eyesight standards)
🩸 Diabetes (if treated with insulin)
πŸ§β€β™‚οΈ Stroke, mini-stroke (TIA), or blackouts
🧠 Neurological conditions (MS, Parkinson’s, brain injury)
🧠 Mental health conditions (if they affect your ability to drive)
🍺 Drug or alcohol dependency

πŸ’‘ If you’re unsure whether your condition affects your driving, check with your doctor or visit gov.uk/health-conditions-and-driving.

Because we want our students to be successful throughout their journey in learning to drive, we give our pupils access to Theory Test Pro. Which is an app that has been designed to help instructors support pupils with their theory tests.

We see huge success rates with first-time passes on those students who use this app to study for the test.

Ask your instructor about it today.

We celebrate change and differences here at Driving School Wirral where we strive to make our pupils become safer drivers for life, no matter what additional support they might need in the car.

🚘When we're teaching all our pupils we understand that some might need extra support more than others, so we are equipped to change and adapt lessons to fit the pupil.

🌈 Being a driving school that strives to be inclusive to everyone, by making driving accessible to all. We recognise this by being an Autism Champion with Autism Together for the past few years.

πŸ“š We have regular training to help us be the very best driving instructor to someone who may have extra needs or need extra support.

πŸš— We repeat Instructions, give bite-size amounts of information or use of visual aids like training manuals, apps on iPads or instructor demonstrations!

πŸš—β™ΏοΈ Attention all drivers! β™ΏοΈπŸš—
Let's make sure everyone has equal access to parking spaces, especially those with disabilities. Here's everything you need to know about Disabled Blue Badge Holders:

βœ”οΈ A Blue Badge allows parking on the street, getting you closer to your destination.
βœ”οΈ Both passengers and drivers can hold a Blue Badge, but it's only valid if the badge holder is present.
βœ”οΈ Display the Blue Badge (and parking clock) on the dashboard where it's visible.
βœ”οΈ Make sure the badge is facing forward so it's easily readable from outside the vehicle.
βœ”οΈ Badge holders can park on yellow lines for up to 3 hours unless there's a loading ban.

Let's spread kindness and consideration on the roads, ensuring everyone reaches their destination safely and comfortably. Together, we can make a difference! 🌟

πŸ”πŸš— If you park on a hill you should:

πŸ‘‰ Park close to the kerb and apply the handbrake firmly

πŸ‘‰ Select a forward gear and turn your steering wheel away from the kerb when facing uphill

πŸ‘‰ Select reverse gear and turn your steering wheel towards the kerb when facing downhill

πŸ‘‰ Use β€˜park’ if your car has an automatic gearbox.

Here's a lovely 5 🌟 review left by Paul, for Mark and the Driving School Team after Paul passed his driving test last month. πŸš—βœ¨

'Excellent driving school and my instructor Mark was excellent too, really helped me to uinderstand what was needed, encouraged me every step of the way which was really appreciated given the fact I am autistic. If I could give him 6 stars I would. I passed thanks to Mark’s tutoring and positive impact. Thanks so much Mark.'

Thanks for posting your review and happy driving πŸš—
