It’s an absolute nightmare when your work van is off the road and interrupting your jobs 🛑🛠️

This 2023 Renault Trafic had a coolant leak 💧I found it to be a leaking radiator after a rogue bolt flew straight through the front grille and punctured it! 🔩💥

The Fix: I stripped it down fitted a brand new radiator and bled the entire coolant system to make sure there were no air locks

The Result: Fully tested ✅, coolant levels stable 📊, and running sweet as a nut

Another local tradesman is back up and running and ready for work! 💼🤝

Forget the vans… forget the fuel prices… forget sitting in traffic… 🤣

I’ve decided to go fully green and pedal my way from job to job around Liverpool! 🌱😂

Got a service to do? 🚲 No problem.
Brakes to change? 🔧 I’ll be there in a minute.
DPF fault? 💻 Just give me a minute to catch my breath first! 💨🤣

The only downside is if I get a call-out in Warrington… I might need to set off the night before! 😂😂

At least nobody can say I’m not going the extra mile for my customers! 💪

All jokes aside, imagine the state of my legs after a full day carrying tools, oil and diagnostic equipment around Merseyside! 🤣

🐀🔧 WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT ISN’T ACTUALLY AN ENGINE PROBLEM! 🔧🐀

This Ford Focus EcoBoost was having some serious issues…

🚨 Engine warning light on
🚗 Taking a long time to start
⚠️ Wouldn’t drive over 20mph
❌ Vehicle clearly in reduced power/limp mode

I attended the customer’s vehicle to diagnose the problem and quickly found something I definitely wasn’t expecting…

🐀 A RAT HAD MOVED IN! 🐀

The little unwanted visitor had been making itself at home and had chewed through the vehicle’s wiring, causing the faults and leaving the car struggling to run correctly.

🔧 WHAT I DID:
✔️ Found the damaged wiring
✔️ Repaired the wiring correctly
✔️ Cleaned up all the mess and debris left behind by the rodent
✔️ Cleared and checked the faults
✔️ Tested the vehicle thoroughly
✔️ Confirmed the vehicle was running and driving correctly again

And we didn’t stop there…

The customer had purchased a rodent deterrent device to help prevent the little culprit from coming back, so I fitted this to the vehicle as well. 🐀🚫

⚠️ Rodent damage can be surprisingly common, especially when vehicles are parked for long periods or in areas where rats and mice are present. Chewed wiring can lead to warning lights, starting problems, running faults and sometimes very expensive repairs.
