Great evening at Anglesey Arms with excellent food, cars and chatting. For a local car meet it was very well organised with a really good turn out of cars, but apparently I only took photos of Porsche’s!

Broken Lumbar Support on a Citroen
Bolster repairs on the Fiat 124 Abarth, really like these cars, they sound great and sharing an MX5 chassis they should be good fun
Range Rover armrest…. Probably should have taken and “after”… imagine it without a big hole and that’s how it ended up 😆

It’s a real testament to the effort that went into the build and Dan’s skills, that this car still blows me away whenever I see it. Pretty damn perfect 🤩
At the weekend I went along to for the Dubsta® Volkswagen Culture meet. I knew a few people that were going but bumped into a few more people from way back in the day, always nice when that happens and shows that it’s a much about the people, as it is the cars. sycworx

This car is stunning! Before this one, I’m not sure I had ever seen an E34 M5 in the flesh, they’re pretty rare and this is an excellent example. Beautiful Avus Blue with the silver grey interior is such a great colour combo. 👌🏼
Anyway, there’s always room for improvement and unfortunately this car had previously had its headliner, pillars, sunroof panel and rear parcel shelf recovered in a not so great faux suede. I assume due to the lack of stretch in the material, the trimmer had opted to glue fake seams and panels in the grab handle apertures and around the sunroof opening. The sunroof panel was glued directly over the original and the glue used throughout wasn’t up to the job and would sag in warm weather.
To be fair it was a neat job and was probably quite tricky to do, but it wasn’t right. Next post will be the afters.

How cool is this? Matching your Ducati XDiavel to your Bentley Mulsanne! 😳
While the bike was getting wrapped to match the paint on the Bentley, we set about re panelling the seat to match the interior. We used a horizontal diamond quilt, perforated sections and Newmarket leather as found in the Mulsanne. The Bentley logo was embroidered in to match the interior as well.
The customer and ourselves were very happy with the result and the green and tan colour combination is one of my favourites. It’s such a popular colour choice there’s actually a page devoted to it!
