Quick update on the ZX10R........fully stripped and cleaned, engine sent off to specialist engine builder for inspection...

Quick update on the ZX10R........fully stripped and cleaned, engine sent off to specialist engine builder for inspection and valve clearance work.
Swingarm prepped and repainted. Engine cleaned and repainted.
Monobloc calipers arrived, as have many new parts for the rebuild.
Wiring loom cleaned. Aftermarket alarm removed.
Reassembly now underway.
Still much to do !

RF Streetfighter panels now in primer, with mechanical work done, so it's now off the lift, to make way for a ZX10R D7F refurbishment.

Here's some pictures from the recent full refurbishment of a classic VFR750FJ.

Tasks included:

Bike fully stripped.
Frame fully cleaned
Subframes cleaned, treated and repainted
Swingarm repainted
CBR600F2 17" front wheel, CBR1000F discs
CBR600F3 17" rear wheel with Triumph disc
120 front and 160 rear Bridgestone tyres
Repainted wheels
New wheel bearings fitted
New YSS rear shock
Forks stripped and rebuilt with new seals and oil
Centre and side stands cleaned, treated and repainted
Master cylinders stripped, cleaned and rebuilt
Clutch slave cylinder stripped and rebuilt.
New plugs, fluids and filters
Electrics checked and cleaned
New fuel lines and uprated fuel pump
Carbs stripped and cleaned
New carb inlet rubbers
New Battery and solenoid
Calipers stripped and rebuilt with new seals and pads
New rear brake line
New chain and sprockets
Fully repainted bodywork in Rothmans Racing colours, including 2K clearcoat
New windscreen
Seat reupholstered in new vinyl
New handlebar grips
New stainless fittings throughout
Probably more I've missed!

Hundreds of hours spent on this restoration and definitely far removed from what we started with!

Front end back on. Will get the final (but most complicated) infill pieces for the tail finished, then it will be coming...

Front end back on.

Will get the final (but most complicated) infill pieces for the tail finished, then it will be coming off the lift, to make way for the ZX7R, which will be getting a full chassis rebuild and newer engine.......and new brakes.

Will hopefully get back onto this one in the Autumn.

Something different on the lift......Suzuki 937cc Engine and frame, TL1000R front end, Honda Single sided swingarm.........
