Ep3 with some nasty repairs finished up this week ✅️

Lower quarter panels sections replaced.
Inner arch lips repaired & new outer arch panels fitted.
Also replaced the lower inner arch sections which were made up of a few bits stuck together.

Primed, undersealed & cavity waxed. Tidied up & off for paint 👍

This isn't something you'll see every day - 1989 Mitsubishi Galant VR4 sitting on BC coilovers & Rays TE37's 🔰

Always cool to have something different through the door, and this one is right up there with the Familia Sedan I done recently for rarity.

Finished up with a 3" turbo back exhaust, as its now away off to get mapped on a Link ECU. The customer wanted a 3" sharp twin-tip, no j*p can on this one for a change. Fairly changed the sound of the car as I couldn't even hear it pulling up, it made a nice note leaving though 👌

Finished up the 2jz turbo kit 2 years ago, before Bradley Motorworks sent it to over 600hp 💥

Few repairs finished up on a customers' Bora yesterday.

These arent a car I'd usually want to take on but it brought a bit of life back into it and let him push on with building it back up to a good car again.

- Inner arches repaired & new outer arches installed.
- Inner sill & floorpan repairs carried out as they had been stoved up in.
- The inner panel cut & built back up to keep everything straight again.
- Outer sills primed & replaced.

Cavity wax pumped into the arches & sills after to protect the new panels.

Donnington Grey X5M + V8 twin turbo = Perfection 👌

All it needed was a bit of sound released as the stock setup is very quiet. After speaking with the owner we decided to ditch the two secondary cats & middle resonator in favour of a 3" x-pipe.

The difference it made was night & day, still a pretty modest sound for day to day driving but with the foot down you now know what you're driving. A very happy customer leaving yesterday 🤝

Great weekend of racing at Race Wars 26 🏁 A well organised event that ran smooth with plenty of action & some serious machines on display - cars, bikes & buggys.

Managed to run a 12.2 on Sunday which was as good as it got over the weekend, Saturday was all-spinning, all-limiter and not going anywhere fast 😂 Some proper tyres on Sunday made all the difference.

Shootout to Richard Bradley for setting the car up and Gavin at Blackline Performance for squeezing us in for alignment beforehand.

Fabrication work finished up on a customers' long-term Chevette project, running an 1.8 8V Astra GTE engine bored out to a 2.1 💥

Equal length 4-2-1 manifold made up, 38mm primary into 50mm secondary runners & merged into a 63.5mm v-band outlet, with the full 2.5" exhaust in 316 stainless.

The exhaust crosses over to the other side to run along the drivers side of the gearbox mount where the clearance was, and kept it tucked up to the body with plenty of clearance over the rear axle.

One of the rarest imports Ive seen up from the south to get some work done, 1993 Mazda Familia.. With all the bells & whistles and full of Mazdaspeed goodies, this is a proper old school 90s J*p car 🔰

It got both rear arches replaced, and the inner arches repaired to meet up with the new panels after poor repairs previously started to make their way through. With all the new steel primed & pumped full of cavity wax after to protect it in the future, it's ready to go back home to the owner & get painted.

Impreza STI just finished up with some much needed welding work, with panels supplied by Classiccarparts.ie.

The car was starting to show it's age with some holes & rot along the sills & around the wheel arches, and a poor previous repair didnt help matters. Both rear inner arches repaired with new metal & primed before adding the new outer panels.

New outer sills fitted on both sides & some repairs to the inner sills & skins in between. All inner areas cleaned back, treated with rust converter & etch primed. Outer panels seam sealed & sitting in primer, ready to be cavity waxed on Monday and a few holes drilled for skirts to go back on.

Ek Civic finished up last week with the rear arch replaced, new inner arch made up & rear of the sill repaired ✅️

Some previous bodges uncovered in the process, inner arch made of foam and a riveted plastic guard 🤔 And a section folded over the back of the sill to trap all the dirt from the road inside it.

Best thing to do was cut it all out and start again. Made up a new inner arch & folded up a section to replace the rear of the sill, then primed & fitted the new outer arch panel and filled the inside with cavity wax.
