This stunning Ferrari came into us for various work.
With corrosion on the alloy panels on 2 front wings & both rear quarter panels plus chips and other damage to the front bumper and some small damage on the rear bumper.
There was also some damage to the gloss black rear lower defuser and various trims.
We proceeded a full strip down to remove all of the wheel arch lining panels and parts and also removing both bumpers and side skirt panels. We stripped the interiors of both the doors to then enable us to remove the wing mirrors and handles.
We then cracked on with the repairs needed, including rectifying a poor previous repair to the drivers door.
Then we begun to conduct various colour tests as this 3 stage pearl is far from a straightforward colour. In total we carried out 6 various colour test cards. These were made up of the first stage of yellow basecoat, and then various trials including 1 coat, a second coat, and a third coat of the pearl stage to then assess and achieve the required colour match for this gorgeous but tricky colour.
After all our testing and colour quality control, it was finally onto the refinish stage with the first base colour applied and then the second stage pearl applied, and then clearcoated. We refinished both full sides, both full bumpers and both side skirt panels with this process.
We then refinished the gloss black trims to return them to their factory glory.
It was then onto a full rebuild of all the various panels, trims and ancillaries. We also fitted some new carbon fibre Ferrari shields.
Finally we carried out a full body polish to finish.
These 3 stage pearl colours can often prove challenging, but as always we carry out our groundwork beforehand to ensure the correct colour match is achieved and the highest quality refinish is achieved.
Despite the tricky nature of this colour, we loved working on this beautiful supercar and are proud to see it back to its factory fresh state and ready for its owner to be back out enjoying it again.
