🟣BMW 6 Series Vandalised door repair

🔴This one was in with us over a year ago. A house brick was thrown at the passenger door of this BMW damaging the aluminium door, window and weather strip which were all replaced.

🔵We initially prepared , sealed and painted the new door, then fitted to the car. We scuffed the surface up again and the front wing and rear quarter panels and painted it all to ensure a perfect colour match along the side

🔴 Motorbike Tank Refurbishment.

🟣 We were given the task of transforming this poor condition 1971 Honda Fuel tank to its original look and condition. It had lots of paint issues, scratches, chips and denting. This process takes a large amount of hours to get the right result but our customer was very understanding and appreciated the cost involved.

🔵 We didn’t want to bare metal pull it or PDR the dents internally so not to disturb the inner coating from fuel, so all repairs were carried out with external manipulation and filler work as best we could.

🟡 After filler work and sanding, several coats of high build primer, baked, cooled, all sanded again, before the full refinishing process as usual - wet on wet sealer, basecoat colour (Excel Black) and clearcoat.

⚫️ This was baked and cooled, de nibbed of dust inclusion and fully keyed up again before the graphics were carefully aligned and wet squeegeed into position. These had to dry for 24 hours then 2 full coats of Baslac 40-100 clearcoat applied again.

🟤 The result was superb. A super glossy finish and honestly dust free and didn’t need to polish. It’s not very often that happens ! Our customer was over the moon with the result !

Kia EV3 Tailgate repair.

A Large Sharp centred dent to the tailgate caused by a driveway sliding gate. This was particularly tricky as there is a strengthening beam on the inside of the tailgate face adjacent to the dent, restricting access and making it difficult to manipulate.

We carried out paintless dent removal to manipulate the denting to about 95% perfection, then fine pulling and filling with 2 coats of pro-worx bodyfiller, Ace and Silk to finish.

Then the recommended correct shade of Baslac High build primer to cover the preparation work. This was sanded flat to a fine grade.

Then Into the spraybooth for refinishing with Baslac Wet on Wet Sealer, 45 Line colour basecoat and 2 coats of 40-100 high gloss clearcoat baked at around 40 deg C which is safe for use on an electric vehicle.

This Hyundai i10 was damaged by another driver recently. Damage to the front bumper, wing and alloy.
