A late update…
2 days ago the team were made aware of a number of incidents that had occurred overnight around the Crowland and Gedney Hill areas near Spalding.
There had been another theft of a Toyota Hilux, a theft of an Ifor Williams trailer and a theft of a Kubota excavator.

The team deployed down to the area and conducted a number of enquiries including searching for the stolen items.

We were able to locate and recover the stolen Hilux to the delight of the owner.

Sadly for the Ifor Williams trailer and Kubota excavator owners we were unable to locate them and both remain outstanding.

There has been a sharpe increase in the theft of Toyota Hilux’s over recent weeks and we are seeing other items being stolen on the same night such as plant machinery and trailers, particularly in the Boston South Holland and North Kesteven districts.

If you own a Toyota Hilux (or any vehicle you wish to protect), trailers or Plant/Farm machinery we urge you to consider what security you have and upgrade where needed.

Consider -
- Trackers (more then one)
- OBD port blockers
- Ghost immobilisers
- Photograph your items and make note of identification marks (serial number / Chassis number)
- Security lights
- Alarms
- CCTV
- Steering or Wheel locks
- Consider using other vehicles to block valuable items in where possible.

Remain vigilant to suspicious vehicles driving about or drones flying over your property and please report this to the police.

The air-conditioning streak continues! Today it was a black Truma Aventa Comfort fitted to a Carthago motorhome. This customer had the Truma i-net X fitted which has the option to connect your air-conditioning to it. This allows you to operate the heating/cooling via the Truma app.

Another day, another air-conditioning system fitted! The Bailey Adamo 75-4DL with the Truma Aventa Comfort fitted centrally in the vehicle, with both cooling and warming modes, a fantastic addition to any motorhome.

The warmer weather is on it's way!!
We have already taken several bookings for air-conditioning units. Last year we had lots of enquiries but people had left it too late and we couldn’t fit them in. You know what they say, the early bird catches the worm 🪱

Despite it being so late in the season, we are still incredibly busy here at Auto-Mate. Here's a snapshot of one job from this week. Transit Custom with flush mount camera wired to the Ford stereo. Very pleased with this, don't you think it looks great?

Making the most of the space on this small, busy roof. The raised area at the front isn’t suitable for solid glass panels, MIPV are a good option, if you want to take that route.
We generally opt for Victron Bluetooth MPPT regulators for optimum yeild and Bluetooth allowing you to monitor performance from your phone or tablet. You will also see an isolator fitted, enabling you to shut off the panels, which is necessary on a bigger higher voltage system, when carrying out maintenance or adding more panels.

Today we upgraded this customers solar set-up. Unfortunately their old panel had lots of damaged cells and was no longer performing. They decided to remove it and replace it with 2 x 175W panels. We also fitted a new, larger solar regulator. We usually opt for Victron Smart regulators, allowing you to monitor solar performance and battery voltage via the Victron Connect app.
Now we just need the sun to make an appearance 😎
