Honda GL1000 Goldwing up on the ramp for its recommission. 🔧

First job was addressing something a little more serious — a damaged centre stand and a section of the frame that had suffered from corrosion and become twisted over the years.

With it being a structural and safety-critical repair, this wasn't an area for compromise. I entrusted Dan at Atherton Creative Engineering to carry out the fabrication and repair work — a job that needed experienced hands and needed to be done properly.
With the welding now complete and the integrity of the frame restored, it's back in my hands and time to move on with the rest of the recommission.

Plenty of work went into getting this bike properly sorted, and the best way to finish it off — a trip to Donington Park for a few laps around the track.

The Budget Blade is officially finished and now ready for its next owner. 🔥
A solid, turnkey 1999 CBR900RR FireBlade that's ready to ride, while still leaving plenty of scope for the next owner to put their own stamp on it. Personally, I'd take it back towards a more OEM look... but that's the beauty of it.
Time to enjoy the ride. 🏍️
