🎉 🚗 ANOTHER PASS! 🚗 🎉

A massive congratulations to Jaz, who passed her driving test today with just 4 df's 👏 🥳

Jaz did a brilliant job of keeping those test day nerves under control and showing the examiner what she was capable of. She should be really proud of herself for holding it together and getting the result she worked for!

It's also lovely to be able to say that Jaz is the 6th pupil I've helped through their driving test, and so far, all 6 have passed! 🙌 😊 It's such a rewarding feeling to see pupils reach this point and know they've got the confidence and skills to take that next step.

Well done again, Jaz! Now you can get out there and enjoy being behind the wheel on your own. 🚗 😊

Stay safe and happy driving! 👏

A huge congratulations to Danni Davies, who passed her driving test today with just ONE driver fault!👏🚗

And what makes this even more impressive is that it was a wet, miserable afternoon in Northallerton, and believe it or not, it was actually Danni’s first time ever driving in the rain!🌧️

Danni originally wanted a female driving instructor, but unfortunately couldn’t find one available, so she ended up coming to me instead. And I have to say, what started out as a bit of a Plan B has been an absolute privilege.

It’s been fantastic watching Danni’s driving skills develop, her confidence grow and seeing her go from being nervous about driving to going out there today and absolutely smashing her test.

I know how stressed Danni was about taking her test, which makes today’s result even more special. And this isn’t just about passing a driving test, I know what a life changer this is going to be for Danni. The freedom, independence and opportunities that come with being able to drive are huge, and she thoroughly deserves it.

I’m genuinely going to miss our Monday afternoon lessons, though. The driving was obviously the important bit… but the banter, laughs and conversations along the way certainly made my Monday afternoons a lot more enjoyable! 😂

It’s been an absolute privilege to help you get to this point, Danni, and I couldn’t be prouder of you.

And another little milestone for me too… Danni is the 5th student I’ve taken through to their driving test — and my 5th pass! 🎯🙌

Congratulations Danni! Enjoy the freedom — you’ve earned it! 🚗💨❤️

🎉🚗 Well, what a day!🚗🎉

A HUGE congratulations to Hannah, who passed her driving test today with **ZERO driver faults!** 🥳👏

I’m genuinely so pleased for her. Hannah has worked really hard, and it’s been brilliant seeing her confidence grow and watching her become a more independent and capable driver along the way.

And today, she went out there and absolutely nailed it! 💪😁

I’m also going to allow myself a little bit of a proud moment… 😂

Hannah is the 4th pupil I’ve taken through their driving test — and she’s my 4th pass! 🎉🙌

I’m really proud of that record, but the credit ultimately belongs with my pupils. They’re the ones who put in the work, listened, practised and then had to go out and perform on the day. ❤️

So Hannah, you should be incredibly proud of yourself. A pass with ZERO faults is some achievement!👏👏👏

Now comes the best bit… enjoying your freedom and getting out on the road! 🚗💨

Congratulations Hannah — you absolutely smashed it! 🥳❤️

🎉🚗 **A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO SVITLANA!** 🚗🎉

What a fantastic result today for Svitlana Aivazian, passing her driving test FIRST TIME with just 1 driving fault! 🥳👏

Svitlana drove amazingly during her test. She showed great control, confidence and awareness throughout, and fully deserved that pass. 🙌

What makes this result even more special is knowing how hard Svitlana has worked to get here. She has put so much effort into her lessons, taken everything on board and kept working at the areas she needed to improve. Today was the reward for all that hard work. 💪👏

I couldn’t be happier for you, Svitlana. You absolutely deserve this!🎉

On a personal note, it’s also a lovely feeling for me to realise that Svitlana is the 3rd pupil I’ve taken through their driving test and the 3rd pupil to pass since I started as a driving instructor back in March. I’m incredibly grateful to every pupil who puts their trust in me, and results like today make all the hard work so worthwhile. ❤️

Well done Svitlana — enjoy your freedom and congratulations once again! 🚗💨🥳

Only a matter of time?

Only a matter of time?

📉Why is the manual gearbox heading for reverse? Just one in 12 new cars ordered this year had a manual gearbox, a massive drop from a few years ago. Are we seeing the end of the stick shift on UK roads, or is there still a place for them?

Learning to drive used to mean mastering the clutch and gears, but with most new drivers opting for automatics, the appeal is shifting fast. The stats are pretty stark and show a clear trend:

📉Only 8.3% of new cars sold year-to-date are manual.
📉This is down from 40% just five years ago.
📉Electric cars are all automatic, pushing the trend further.

For many, automatics mean easier driving in traffic and less to worry about. But manual drivers often praise better fuel economy and a more engaging driving experience. Are we losing something vital in the joy of driving?
