A week of amazing atmosphere and incredible pace. It didn’t quite work out this year but a P4 finish and Fastest Race Lap in the final for Charlie demonstrated much speed, resilience and why you never give up.

With a great team of people around us we are now looking forward to the British Champs at Whilton Mill.

First weekend back on GB4 was incredible, a superb event with a huge grid of over 30 drivers.

Truly looking forward to the rest of the season and working with our drivers making them and their race cars a fast as possible…..

Super Proud of Jenson today, 2nd attempt at this circuit race, much nicer weather & riding in the main Peloton with some fantastic riders - gaining experience all the time. 🚲 💨

Something I thought I would give a go last weekend…… After watching Jenson have all the fun I thought I too would enter the Cyclocross Race at Lannock Farm….

My thoughts after doing such event - Brutal exhaustion and not actually that fun suffering on the bike for 50minutes!

But, You just can’t beat that feeling of sitting on the start line with 40 other competitors waiting for the charge to the first corner ….. in total silence. The race to T1 was fast and furious, a relentless pace at 40kph, mud and rain flicking in the face, elbows out & total concentration.

After lap one you cannot believe how good these athletes are, the relentless pace only got faster, I was maxed out hanging off the back absolutely scrapping to get to the end of the 45 minute race.

The course was something else, grass, gravel, and massive muddy gradients, I think it probably is the toughest thing I’ve ever done. I loved the technical aspect, like driving in the wet in so many ways, picking the line with the most grip, slipping and sliding & trying to find traction anywhere and everywhere, Every lap learning and trying a new approach to gain a few seconds.

So actually, it was great fun and now I know just how hard I need to train to get in the mid field for next year, it was an eye opener for sure!

A Great race, great atmosphere, amazing competitors and a lot of suffering but a personal goal achieved and first one ticked off.

Jenson @ Final Round of Eastern League - Lannock Cross.

He was really proud to be part of and representing the Verulam Race Team for the first time.

An amazing new and a super tough course with a great atmosphere. Credit to all the boys and girls to finish this type of event. Jenson finished, he wasn’t happy with his performance but this is something else - A different kind of discipline, a different kind of fitness & strength required. Fair play, it was tough as it comes.
