It’s gone 7am Friday the 17th and both grades of fuel are back in stock, big thanks to the haulier who moved things around to get to us early.

Hello folks,

It’s Thursday the 16th at midday. Please do not travel to us for either grade of fuel as stocks are running low. This is due to us trying to time the wholesale market for improved pricing and predicting sales badly.

While pricing is slightly better, it’s still fairly poor courtesy of the ongoing disaster that is American foreign policy in the Middle East.

A tanker will arrive tomorrow and we will once again be awash with locomotion lotion that you can purchase from our almost always friendly team.

Hi folks,

Fuel update: There is a ten pence difference between wholesale pricing at the start of the week and the pricing we are seeing coming through today.

This is off the back of a second night of American strikes on the Islamic Republic of Japan*.

*Japan, Iran, Tokyo, Tehran, they are very similar, to be fair.

Here at the citadel of rural retail, we’re putting the additional margins we made on the way down to work in slowing the rises we have seen this week. So although the market is up ten pence, we aren’t. We will likely increase a few pence into the weekend and again likely into next week - although right now the oil market is trading down on the highs we saw yesterday - so if we’re optimistic this is a bit of a spike rather than a climb (but there is no optimism here, the world is aflame and life is pain).

It’s quite warm here in Leintwardine; but we’ve a truck full of ice cream being unloaded and the air conditioning is working. Stay cool, and have a cracking day everyone.

Bonza folks,

It’s just gone 9am Tuesday the 7th July. Both grades of fuel are now available here at the factory of fun.

Diesel has risen a penny here, pricing on a bit of an ebb and flow as the Americans and Iranians on and off again their BS. OPEC is talking about increasing production, the market is ignoring this. Unleaded staying still.

We’re still keeping our pricing on the down low at the moment - we hope to minimise congestion and make us a little nicer to visit while the wider retail market catches up. Which they will, of course, because the government fuel finder service has through the magic of putting prices online, overcome the stranglehold of private equity and the myriad other barriers to actual free market competition within the UK fuel retail market.

Pump 3 is still being a throbber on the diesel. We are putting the final touches on a replacement which will unfortunately require us to close for a brief period while it’s installed, but that is still a while off at the moment.

Please do not travel to us for diesel as we have had to stop dispensing due to low levels.

A tanker is due with us tomorrow with pricing going up a penny.

Update at just gone 11am, unleaded back in stock.

Good morning folks,

It’s 8am Wednesday the 1st July - we have no unleaded at the moment. A tanker is due with us within the next few hours and we will update when it is back on.

Diesel stocks are good. Have a lovely day.

WHILE WE’RE HERE:

Parcels:

We’ve rationalised our parcel services in order to simplify storage and improve the quality of service. We will only be offering Royal Mail, Inpost and Yodel parcel services into the future.

Pumps:

Pump 2 - fixed.

Pump 3 - still an absolute wobbler. Works for unleaded though.

Prices:

We aren’t updating our prices online to avoid encouraging congestion from folks travelling outside of their usual routines. This is while we work to restore the forecourt to full order and once pump 3 is back in service we will begin again. This is in breach of the new UK forecourt pricing regulations, hopefully the new wave of free market competition that these regulations wafted in will survive our not participating for a while.

Morning folks,

A pinhole puncture has developed on pump 2 diesel.

So that is out of service pending replacement in addition to pump 3 diesel being offline.

Words cannot adequately express the range of emotions swishing about at the moment. We’re very sorry for the poor flow of the forecourt at the moment.

Good morning folks,

Both grades of fuel are now back in stock.

Prices are falling with news of a framework deal between America, Iran and Israel. Nobody quite knows what is in the deal yet as it will not be released until Friday.

This is presumably to ensure that by then, people will have seen prices dropping and the spectre of inflation loom not quite so large. They likely won’t have the inclination to point out that the deal isn’t much different to what was there previously.

We’re going to manage pricing as we did during the last price fall, to try and stop the place getting too hectic. We bank additional margins to help us smooth out volatility in the past and up ahead.

Pump 3 diesel is still spaffed, don’t even ask.
