Moss Cars are seeking a skilled and dedicated mechanic / MOT tester or willing to undertake MOT tester training.

Working in a well established, fast paced workshop with over 70yrs of experience.

The ideal candidate will have a wide range of mechanical skills, knowledge and experience. Must be capable of diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a variety of motor vehicles.

Requirements
* Proven mechanical knowledge with previous experience in vehicle repair, routine servicing & maintenance
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues
* Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are advantageous but not essential
* A valid driving licence is essential, especially for test-driving repaired vehicles.
* Must have strong communication skills with both colleagues and customers alike
* The ability to carry out work to a high standard whilst working to tight deadlines.

Duties

* Service and maintenance of all makes and models of both car and light commercial vehicles
* Diagnosing vehicle defects and carrying out repairs as per customer requirements.
* Delivering a high level of service to our expanding customer base.
* Keeping a clean and tidy workplace environment including maintaining workshop equipment.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience

Working hours Mon - Fri 08:00 - 17:00
Every other Saturday 08:00 - 12:00

We need someone who has the experience and expertise to work on a variety of makes and model of vehicles and we also offer MOT testing to Class 4,5 & 7.
