My profile picture is our lovely motorhome at Sandringham camp site.
Here it is today after a devastating fire at shopland farm where we kept it. Luckily the strong winds rushed the fire down a line of caravans and away from the stables and horses.

Check your tyres!
There is a little circle with four numbers on the sidewall. First two the week and second two year of manufacture.
I0 years max for a motorhome.
5 years max on a caravan.
I recently saw some new tyres fitted to a caravan that were all ready two years old so look out for this when buying.

Dont forget to start winterising if you are parking up. Drain all tanks and water heaters. WARNING: if you have the Truma Combi there may be a hidden drain tap behind it. Have a feel about to find it. Some many of these burst in frost expensive to replace.

Morning all. Just back from a lovely few days at Sandringham campsite.
A nice couple of ladies in a Mazda conversion pulled in next to us and set up. Later she unhooked her electric lead and went for a drive to the coast. Im sitting with a nice glass of w**e and i look down at her hook up cable. See picture. In case you are wondering yes that is three exposed pins. Whoever did the conversion decided to fit the spring loaded cap end to the van to keep dirt and water out. So they then made a “special” lead. A potentially deadly mistake. Similar to having an extension lead in the house with a three pin plug at both ends. Just all take a minute please to think about safety. This was her first run out to check the van out. Her next trip was to take her grandchildren. She was shocked and very grateful. It was easily resolved by swapping plug and socket on van end. I dread to think what might have happened. Lucky she parked next to us. If you have any doubts i will come out and check it for you. Lets have fun and not injure anybody.
