I purchased this vehicle a couple months ago with a broken turbo, front grill and bonnet cable.

Since then I have replaced the turbo with a PD150 turbo sourced from a friend, after replacing the turbo under further investigation we have spotted a potential cause for the turbos to be blowing, considering this is now the cars 3rd turbo. We gave spotted a boost leak from the lower boost pipe where it meets the intercooler and excessive oil coming out the small hole.

The car is currently being forced into limp mode with the egr disconnected and MAF unplugged. We have decided to blank off the egr completely and remove the cooler at the same time. We are also going to see if we can put a harder piping system onto the original intercooler, potentially get custom piping made, we will see.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Vehicle may or may not be up for sale in the next few months.

Sometimes I may not be able to get parts, so if you do get them I will advise you on the best places to go and the best places for the cheapest deal (garages charge retail, I use discount codes and charge at trade which means I rarely make money on parts.

Here's a wild Jamie, just changed a coil spring and top mount on a VW Fox, found the top mount to have fell to pieces.

We had a laugh with the customer, the spring was completely battered as they drove on the broken coil spring for 2 weeks, ripped a tyre to pieces as well 🤣

At the moment I am asking customers to come to my house as it is a lot easier, plus I can fully abide by the current social distancing measures put in place.

In the photos below you'll see a broken coil spring and top mount, upon further investigation, I recommended the damper to be replaced also due to it being really weak and can move the damper with 1 finger.. Going back to the job today as the top mount wasn't in stock yesterday.

Customer is happy with the diagnosis and has agreed for me to fit the damper, coil and top mount today.

Need any work doing? Mot failures? Coil springs, clutches? Brakes, etc, give me a ring.

ALSO! If you have already had a quote from a garage or dealership, please let me know as I will beat the price!
