A Phenomenon called Meenakshi Das and Women Empowerment! A challenge like no other that this Bold & Brave lady has taken up to showcase Women Power! A monumental and epic feat that she has embarked upon.

Meenakshi is a biker by passion. She is from India and hails from the North Eastern state of Assam. She has taken up this unthinkable, unheard of challenge of travelling across 60+ countries across the globe on her 400 cc bike. She has already covered 27 of them in the Middle East, Eastern Europe and has entered the UK to cover the 4 UK countries by May end.
She has got tremendous support from people across the globe throughout her journey. This is not only from the Indian diaspora living abroad but also from locals of the country she has visited including unknown individuals who got inspired knowing about her tremendous effort.
Note: She is not sponsored by any government or organisation, she is doing this with her own money and with a tenacious aspiration of waving the Indian Flag and the Assamese Gamocha in every country that she is traversing through.
The Assamese community in the UK has come all out to support her through out her trip in the UK. The community is sponsoring her stay in every city that she is visiting in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales including her fuel and her food expenses.
If her story inspires you, we request you to come forward and sponsor her trip. This is what you can do :
1. Host her stay at your home if she is passing by your city. She can make a detour of 30-50 miles from her planned journey, if required.
2. Fund her one or two full tanks of fuel. One full tank is 13 litres, gives around 300 Kms of mileage. One full tank costs £25 (based on motorway fuel costs)
3. Sponsor her for a day - this includes her breakfast/lunch/dinner and costs £50
4. Sponsor her Ferry costs – at times, she is required to travel on a ferry along with her bike. Costs ranges from £50 - £100 per journey.
5. Just sponsor - if you want to just contribute to her journey, sponsor any amount you want to and be a part of this historical feat of this brave lady.
