First time pass alert 🔔

Today on an overcast grey day Joshua passed his test with a great and steady drive at the first attempt!
Just 4 minor (driver) faults.
The driving examiner complimented a “really steady solid drive”

Joshua could suffer with nerves and we found some coping mechanisms to keep calm no matter what !

All passes are outstanding, but this opens up real change as Joshua pursues becoming an electrician ⚡️

If you’re 17 in 2027 and early 2028 then apply for your licence now.
You can apply from 15 years and 9 months.
So apply now, study the theory test now.
There’s nothing to stop you! Your licence will then turn up dated for your 17th birthday (category . B and you could then even have your theory test arranged too before driving lesson one.

You could pass your theory really close to, or on your 17th birthday. You could already have lessons arranged this year for next year. You’ll be months ahead of most others and could be ready for a driving test so much sooner if you did!

After his pass and since it creates a few lesson spaces, I have very limited spaces in auto for a December start and in manual for an October start.

The DVSA have made a small concession about two learners swapping a car driving test..

Comes into affect 1st October and makes it a bit easier.
If you’re using a driving instructor to prepare you for a test, it’s a good idea to run any date changes past them first for if they’ve tests already or are not available. Then you face having to use 1 of your 2 permitted swaps to fix it.

Run your potential dates past your instructor first if you’d like their help
For you don’t want to waste one of your allowed two test swaps before you’d have to cancel and book it all over again..
