Last few bits to do on this and then it’s its ‘complete’… for now 🤣

Headlight Resto // Porsche 911 996 Turbo

If there is any car that NEEDS to have its lights headlights looking like new, it’s the 996’s - there’s enough ‘hate’ without them all looking like they have car cataracts!

Process:

- wash
- wet sand 1500/2000/2500 grit
- 2 stage polish using Farecla G360 super fast compound. First passes rotary, then slow pass on DA (Milwaukee)
- IPA wipe down & clean
- Ceramic coat with Gtechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer to protect them from UV. I’ll repeat this final step at regular intervals to keep them looking ace.

The single cheapest and quickest way to get your car looking in better condition! DM TO BOOK 📥

Sill Repair workflow // PT.2

Fiat Panda 100HP

OSR sill repair process, removing side skirts, marking and cutting out the corrosion, cleaning up the repair area, weld through priming, templating, repair panel fabrication, welding in and grinding.

Only about 10% of the time invested in a repair like this is welding, the rest is what you see here.

My mantra is if it’s worth doing it’s worth doing correctly so it lasts.

We will happily quote this kind of work for any modern classic / Italian vehicle - however just bare in mind that until you strip it all back, there is no way of telling how bad it truly is!

996 911’s // Not sure when I decided I’d start buying 996 911’s but here we are…

The 996 C4S was specifically a dream car of mine, the best rear end of any 911 in my opinion, BUT… the Turbo is a car I’d honestly never properly looked at, mainly because I always thought it was out of my reach.

What I think I’ve proved here is that realistically you don’t need to be absolutely loaded to buy certain ‘dream’ cars - there is likely a corner of the market that you might be able to edge you’re way into.
The C4S for example is on moon mileage and bought as a complete risk - it could have all fallen to bits and proven me an idiot and a dreamer, but with some due diligence and ample amounts of realism on the condition and age of these cars, its possible to pick something up that is still appealing in both terms of price and condition. That said, I do appreciate that I would have done all the work it needs myself, getting a pro to do it would blow the project out of the water.

The turbo is slightly different, I have watched these cars for a year or so and the hype is doing nothing but build around the 996 Turbo, with the GT cars having already skyrocketed.
I was luckily in the position to purchase this in cash and not burden myself with the debt that would sap any increase in value, this particular car occupies an amazing spec but slightly higher mileage than most collectors would go for (people who don’t actually want to drive them!!) so it was my perfect foot in the door. What i will say is, don’t underestimate how blisteringly quick these are for a 2002 car.

However, we love cars, dream of the scenarios you’d use them in, the places you’d visit, the songs you would chose on that first journey. I’m happy if I get to own this and it’s all worsless tat at the end of my ownership, money comes and goes -
These cars won’t be here forever and I can certainly say I’ve been caught by their charm!

Can’t wait to do some road trips - question now is… which one do I take and what do I do with the C4S long term?

If anyone is genuinely interested in taking it off my hands for sensible money, please DM me.

So I bought another 911…

This time a 996 Turbo - A genuine poster car from when I was a kid.

Travelled down to Southend on Sea for it, in such good condition and can’t wait to do some subtle bits to it.

Mad day!
