Just a slight reminder..

🚫📱 STOP USING YOUR PHONE WHILE DRIVING 🚗

Officers are increasingly seeing drivers on their phones at the wheel — and it’s putting lives at risk. This isn’t just a bad habit; it’s dangerous, illegal, and completely avoidable.
When you look at your phone, even for a second, you’re not watching the road. You’re not seeing pedestrians. You’re not reacting to hazards. You’re gambling with your own safety and everyone else’s.

We’re stepping up enforcement, and if you’re caught using your phone behind the wheel, you will be dealt with. But we’d much rather see a change in behaviour than issue fines. We want the community to know that we are taking this seriously. The FATAL 4 operation will be running again soon, focusing on the four main causes of serious and fatal collisions. If you see any incidents with drivers on the phone, report it straight to us.

👉 Help us keep Melton safe.
Put your phone away. Focus on the road. Set the example our community deserves.

…. that little duck is getting in on your glory!! We had some great lessons and some even greater conversations. I’m so proud of the way you controlled your nerves and drove so well today. This is just the start of many successes coming your way this year I’m sure.

It’s Friday the 13th,
but Leo did not scare.
A fantastic drive delivered,
Far from his worst nightmare.
He took that pass certificate
Such was his skill and flare,
Just needs to buy himself a car
So he can get out there!

So pleased for you Leo, I have enjoyed our lessons. Keep being you, enjoy life and good luck with all your plans for the future. Don’t forget to wave when you spot me!

Due to the road works causing huge queues through Sainsbury’s, tests started on a nearby road today.
This didn’t put Nayomi off though. She calmly went through her paces finishing back where she started, and in receipt of the much covetted pass certificate.
Thank you for trusting me and sharing your journey. I’m so proud of the driver you worked so hard to become. Your girls are going to love going on trips over half term with you!

Today was one of those days that doesn’t happen often! Declan headed off with the examiner and came back with a completely clean sheet! Zero driver faults!
What an amazing drive he had!
So pleased I could help you on your journey to independence. I know this means so much to you and will make getting to work so much easier.

Today started as a miserable wet and windy market day, always the busiest morning of the week!
Did Olivia let any of it bother her - yes! She was so nervous, she even headed to the wrong side of the car.
After a drive round to settle some nerves, we headed to the test centre. Still shaking as she left the waiting room, she went off to deliver an excellent drive and take home a much deserved pass certificate. Not sure if she was shaking more afterwards at the excitement of being told she’d passed or before at the fear of the test itself.
Seriously well done Olivia, you turned a miserable day into a bright and happy one. You held it together really well and I’m so proud of you.

Last day to the Test Centre in 2025, and what a day it was for these two brilliant new drivers!
I’m so proud of both of you and have really enjoyed our time together, watching as you developed in confidence to become the capable drivers who showed up today!
You have both worked so hard to achieve these licences and I know how much difference the independence will make to each of you.

Dylan has worked hard gaining confidence to grow into a fully independent driver. Today he proved that with a fantastic drive and is now the latest proud owner of a full driving licence.
Honestly, Dylan, it has been a real pleasure watching you develop your skills and spending time with you on our lessons. I am so pleased to have been on this journey with you. It was lovely to see that great big smile after the result was announced. Keep safe on those roads - and don’t forget to wave when you spot me!

Today Lucy delivered a fantastic drive, gaining her full licence exactly 8 months after her first lesson! I’ve watched an amazing transformation from a nervous novice to a capable, confident driver.
It’s been a real pleasure spending time with you in the car. Your personality shone through and brightened my day. I will miss our banter and laughs.
