Today marks the end of the second week in our new workshop!

The provisional opening date of our new workshop is Monday 13th April 2026. However this date may be subject to change. For now progress is continuing well and everything is moving in the right direction behind the scenes.

We are moving!

Coniston Commercials is excited to announce that we will soon be relocating from Leeming Bar to our new workshop in Londonderry! The exact opening date of the new workshop is yet to be determined and we will provide updates in due course.

Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for your next opportunity in the Northallerton area? We are seeking a skilled HGV technician to join our growing team.

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Conduct maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers, including inspections, routine servicing and diagnostics.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT by ensuring they are complaint.
• Utilise hand tools, power tools and equipment to perform repairs and assembly tasks.
• Complete relevant documentation and paperwork as required.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Your experience:

• You must have at least four years of experience working with HGV and trailers.
• Hold a City and Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Starting pay is at £16.00 an hour depending on experience. Standard working hours are 08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday, with overtime available at an enhanced rate. Additional hours on a Saturday are also available.

Additionally, all of our technicians have also achieved the IRTEC accreditation at Inspection Technician level.
