When you visit the shop, the products you see have been tried and tested by ourselves.

Bikes, tyres, clothing, saddles, grips, luggage, child seats - we research the products and ride them so you get the pick of the bunch from the get go.

We’ve recently started stocking Kids Ride Shotgun after initial reservations about knee clearance. Have to say, it’s an amazing product. Having your little one up front means you can chat away, and they get a front row seat of the action - you can confidently ride technical and challenging MTB terrain (although we draw the line at air time)

A cruise round the blue route Sherwood Pines - Forestry England today as a test run, well potentially do the full Dalby Red route next time.

The VITTORIA UK Mostro x Mazza combo also had its first trial run today , fast rolling and super grippy - they’ll be in stock in the shop as of this week.

We set out to build a modern long distance machine inspired by the traditional Audax bike.

As with all our builds we take huge care with the little details, striving to achieve the perfect neo-retro balance. Even down to the silver Rohbox (last image) which was a new discovery.

A lugged Reynolds 853 frame built to take 40mm tyres and full guards, using an oversize lower head tube lug to accommodate a carbon fork.

Built with the trusty combination of Rohloff hub gear and Gates belt drive. We’ve used Shimano GRX levers, modified to operate the Rohloff via the Rohbox.

Ritchey finishing kit gives a classic silver aesthetic paired with light weight and modern bar shape.

A Velo Orange headset with upgraded stainless bearings, Middleburn chainset, Pacenti carbon rims, Magura brake calipers, Honjo x Simworks fenders, Tubus rack, Challenge tyres and Brooks saddle and tape round out a dream fast tourer spec.

We wish the owner many happy miles on their new steed.

We continue the bigger better faster stronger tyre trend this weekend with a Bianchi Infinito Pro rolling out.

This has to be one of the best looking road bikes available today. The finish on the frame is exceptional and the wheels are just insane. The 35mm Pirelli tyres measure up at 37mm, and there’s room go even bigger.

Speed and comfort can coexist.

Rolling out into the heatwave is George’s Columbus HSS big tyre speed machine.

Designed with a race geometry to take up to a 40mm tyre. The beautiful triple butted HSS tube set is profiled to enhance aerodynamics and stiffness.

Built up with Shimano’s excellent Ultegra Di2, DT Swiss wheels shod with the latest Vittoria Corsa Pro Control in 38mm, and some choice finishing kit bits - this is a cutting edge steel race machine.

Look out for the British Racing Green blur as it flies along the roads of Yorkshire!

is a shop regular and came to us a while back looking at a new gravel frame.

We brazed him together a Grauel using an 853 main frame with a mixture of Dedacciai and Columbus rear stays.

The elegant bends of the tubes allow us to build our gravel frames to take 700x50 tyres with minimal crimping.

Pascal had a few bits from his previous gravel bike we used, but opted to go for a shiny silver Middleburn chainset, CK headset and Ritchey finishing kit to complement the real talking point here - that amazing paint job.

Pascal had seen another frame we painted with this marbling technique and asked if it was possible to create a fade back to front, rather than fading 2 purples into each other, we achieved the effect with a higher concentration of black towards the back of the frame. It’s subtle but we think it worked really well.

Pascal makes bags as a hobby and made a set to compliment the new bike (the eagle eyed among you may spot there’s a couple of bits to finish on the bags but they look and fit great, not bad at all for a hobbyist!

We’ve got build slots coming up over the summer so if you have a build in mind you would like help with, drop us a line.

We’ve a lovely customer called Will who visited the shop a while back to show us a photo of a crazy titanium mid tail 29r mtb which had caught his eye.

It looked like the ultimate adventure bike for a rad dad and his little one to take on some bikepacking camp outs.

We discussed building him something steel but the titanium has caught his eye.

Fast forward a year or so and he dropped the frame off in the shop with a SID fork, entrusting us with the rest of the build.

We chose components based on reliability and strength with SRAM T90 mechanical, Hope Evo brakes, Son dynamo and amazing new Ladelux front lamp, Oneup dropper post, Hope Fortus 35 rims with a Pro 5 rear hub and Eskers own Molle rack… This freight train rolls surprisingly well on Maxxis Rekons (2.6 front 2.8 rear).

The ride is sublime and we’re heading out on a little dad shakedown ride this Sunday to see how the bike performs.

👉 swipe through to see his home made handlebar solution for the pillion, together with a heavily modified child seat 😂 and a homemade frame bag.

That’s 2 DADventure bikes in a row! Thank you Will for trusting us with this special build.

Rolling out of the workshop this week a beautiful blue Il Primo.

The cycling world has seen a shift in the last few years with the scientific discovery that bigger tyres are faster. We’re pushing the envelope with the 40mm Maxxis Velocitas tyres which are super fast while still being tough.

The brief for this build was super fast, super comfortable road bike to tackle the coarse roads and steep climbs of the Yorkshire valleys.

This is also our first fully internal cabled bike. We’ve used a new fork which allows the use of a standard headset and relatively standard bar and stem.

The customer has quite a specific fit requirement due to a back injury, and we’re hoping this will give him many miles of happiness.

Croix de Fer custom build for a rad dad who’s planning some camp outs with his 2 year old!

Reliable staples like Shimano GRX, Vittoria Terenos and Hope wheelset come together with the legendary CDF 725 frameset to create the perfect Dadventure bike.

Finished off with Restrap’s new 10l switch panniers up front and a Thule child seat to take care of the precious cargo (snacks).
