Getting there with this Caddy's smoothed bay

It had more factory underseal than any mk1 i've worked on harbouring rot in every corner 🤢 Anyway all that has finally been stripped off and all rot been treated with new metal welded in were needed along with reinforcing between mounts etc.

All holes have been welded up in the bay and the rest of the paint work stripped back to metal..

lots of hours so far but finally we're nearly ready for the first coats of epoxy 👍👍

A few update pics of a very rare Landrover Country trimming job (in no particular order)

Old trims were stripped and strengthened with fibreglass sheets.

Aftermarket speaker holes filled and flattened ready for trimming.

Old cubby box stripped and strengthened .

Nappa brown leather was used in the seats and cubby.

Nappa off white leather used for window trims.

Genuine off white Alcantara to line the cubby.

All headliners to be retrimmed in off white genuine Alcantara.

Original seat Material was stripped and re lined and factory flutes re sewn.

All metal work stripped and powdercoated in satin black.

New seat backing boards remade.

Finally managed to fix the leather Skiver (used to thin out leather for bulky junctions)

New bell knife, grinding stone (sharpener) and feed wheel.

Now skiving like a beauty 😂😂👌🏼
