We hope everyone had a merry Christmas, and a positive start to 2025! 🎄🎆

After some lengthy discussion’s and hard decisions towards the end of 2024, we have decided to move ShiftBox Solutions to a Mobile service (IE we come to you!)

This will slightly change how things work, however we aim to keep disruption’s to a minimum.

How this will work and effect you -

- All diagnostics + maintenance work will be available at your home address, this includes electrical diagnostics, compression tests and all other general maintenance (planned or reactive).

- We will have the ability to carry out larger jobs (such as engine swaps, automatic - manual conversions etc) but space will be limited and must be booked in advance.

- Our spare parts stock will reduce significantly, however we will still provide our rebuild service on brake callipers, and hold the ability to source any spares you may need.

We hope that this decision to change the way we work will prove successful! As always, please feel free to message or email us with any questions regarding the change.

📨 Postage nationwide (UK) and to all European countrys on smaller items.

Car is on 117kmiles, Body work is in used condition and the underside is well rusted. Panels are available how ever the rear quarters are rusty, along with lacquer peel on most panels. How ever the front arches are in good nick! Doors, front arches, bonnet boot and bumpers are in usable condition!

🆕 We are now offering a Diagnostics service, both mobile and at our workshop for ALL makes and models (Not just MX5’s) 🆕

We can -

✅ Read stored codes in your vehicles control modules

✅ Clear stored codes

✅ Perform individual tests on components and modules

✅ Reprogram modules, parts and components

✅ Code injectors and more

✅ Preform resets for learning technologies (IE Auto gearbox adaptations, such as the ZF’s)

Obviously, this will come in handy for the MK2.5’s that come through the workshop! Allowing us to see accurate live data readings and ensure everything is working as it should.

This service is available both Mobile and at the worshop, for ALL makes and models (Not just MX5’s).

🏎️ Recent engine swap on a customers 97’ MX5 MK1 🏎️

Came in with a 92psi average across all 4 cylinders, milky residue under the oil cap + under the rocker cover, extreme pressure in the cooling system and evidence of catastrophic overheating.

Engine replaced for a like for like BP05 NA engine, with a host of goodies to keep it shredding the cornish country side for decades to come.

⬅️ check out the video posted on the page!

✅ BP05 NA engine on 97,000 miles with breakers warranty.

✅ New blueprint cambelt (inc idler, tensioner and tensioner spring)

✅ New gates waterpump (inc pump gasket + inlet gasket)

✅ New intake manifold gasket
- Carbon clean inside throttle body and intake manifold to remove coolant and carbon residue, results speak for themselves!

✅ BOFI 5 paddle performance Clutch

✅ Koyo spigot bearing + OEM release bearing

✅ Braided clutch line (Master —> slave)

✅ New throttle body to intake gasket

✅ 4x new OEM injector seats

✅ 4x new OEM injector oring’s (rail)

✅ 3x new Exhaust stud’s

✅ New Bosche oil filter

✅ 4x new Bosche spark plugs

✅ Fresh oil INC lifter treatment

✅ Coolant flushed, and system Re-bled.

Safe to say the engine sounded amazing… and was itching to breath the cold, Cornish winter air that it so dearly missed!
