VEHICLE PREPARATION SPECIALIST - (Ref – VPS/26/05)

Location: Larne, Co. Antrim
Reporting to: Sales Coordinator

This role offers a clear progression path. You will start by mastering the preparation and valeting of our new and used vehicles. Once you have built a deep understanding of our standards and products, we will provide the training and support needed to progress into a Handover Specialist role—helping with the final customer experience and technical walkthroughs.
Your Progression Journey
• Phase 1 (Preparation): Learning the Scania standard, ensuring every new and used truck is valeted and presented to "showroom" perfection.
• Phase 2 (Training): Gaining technical product knowledge and customer service coaching.
• Phase 3 (Handover Specialist): Involved in the final handover process, delivering & demonstrating vehicle features to drivers.

Essential Criteria
• Proven experience in vehicle preparation, valeting, or a similar hands-on role.
• A full, clean driving licence.
• A "customer-first" mindset with excellent communication skills.
• A flexible approach to working hours and a keen eye for detail.

Desirable Criteria
• Full, clean category C + E licence and valid CPC (this will significantly accelerate your progression).
• Forklift licence.

We recently arranged a Train the Trainer day for Mulgrew Haulage in preparation for the continual delivery of their order of 150 new Scania 560S and 660S tractor units. More exciting posts on the handover of these vehicles to follow.

Special mention to Jarrod Griffiths for his expertise and assistance and the team at Mulgrew Haulage for the warm hospitality on what was a very cold March day.

HGV Driver - (Ref – HGV/26/05)

Based in Larne and reporting directly to the Workshop Supervisor, the post holder will be involved in the collection and delivery of vehicles, and the movement of vehicles to and from the MOT test centre.

Essential criteria include:
• GCSE Mathematics & English Language (or equivalent) at grade C or above
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Full clean Category C + E driving licence
• CPC qualification
• Flexible approach to working hours
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable criteria include:
• Category B (coach and bus) driving licence
• Forklift licence.

We are delighted to have recently supplied Chestnutt Animal Feeds this fantastic Scania G560 A6x2NA tractor unit.

Drivers Sean and James put the trucks straight to work on Sunday evening, delighted to take delivery from Vincent our New Sales Account Manager.

What a great couple of days at the RTX Northern Ireland, a big thank you for all our customers new and old who visited the stand.

Fantastic working alongside the Scania UK, Scania Truck Rental and Scania Finance teams who were onsite to assist on all the offerings from our brand.

Nice to see Sam Marks the man who started it all for us at Road Trucks some 40 plus years ago come to enjoy a coffee and chat about the business new and old.
