We had this lovely rs3 in for a service / health check and the customer opted to take our intake carbon clean add on along with the bg package. This car runs a direct injection system so the intake system is subjected to contamination from crankcase vapours from the breathing system (pcv). This will lead to cold misfire drivability issues poor idle and if left long enough it'll be a walnut blast to rectify which is labour intensive having to dismantle the intake system plus new gaskets etc. The intake clean is a aqueous solution an aggressive detergent that effectively removes carbon so it will clean everything from the throttle body / manifold and valves plus help clean the pistons if we tried a hydrogen clean it simply wouldn't work for this issue its gaseous of gas and simply passes the hole intake circuit.
The BG add on
We start with bg epr which is a oil flush this product will wash the hydraulic tapets and clean the piston rings (piston rings are low tension for fuel efficiency so they can stick with carbon being cleaned with epr will help increase compression) and remove varnish or sludge build up from the engine and oil galleries.
Bg moa is an oil additive which is designed to elongate the oil. This little can is full of the good stuff additives which you find in quality oil the expensive part off oil. It'll keep the piston rings clean which will help prevent excessive blow by and that helps the oil stay clean. There's disperesaints that help keep the oil cleaner for far longer / neutrializes acid in the oil and prevents the oil from oxidizing plus reduces engine wear up to 65% at a cold start and helps hot conditions by leaving a protective layer. Bg 44K is a petrol fuel additive this will soften and dissolve varnish / carbon deposits in the fuel system and being a disperesaint it'll stop the fuel from relomerating. It'll stop corrosion in the fuel system ( low / high pressure pumps & injectors) and restore injector spray pattern thus helping regain mpg and performance and the best bit its the only manufacturer approved product 👍 BG treatments have been in numerous tsbs ( technical service bulletin ) as a recommended fix or part repair depending on the fault. That's a feather in the cap its a top tier product that we love and use every day for best results.
The service was completed with genuine filters ( apart from the air filter she's a sporty yin) and liqui moly top tec 5w30 c3 (posh oil) and the vehicle health check sheet all ticked its a good bill off health for this nice impressive car best bit was the customer picked us over the main dealer as he thought we had a better service plan for his car
Added bones it was treated to a under body treatment off bilt hamber dynax uc & ub to keep this excellent example tidy for years to come 👍
