It is great to use The Honest Truth in training with trainee driving instructors as it helps them
understand the importance of road safety messages and gives them a really good way of introducing coaching conversations into driving lessons with learners.

Part of Russell's training includes sitting in to observe driving lessons and be part of a 'coaching triangle' with the instructor and the student.

This allows Russell to learn first hand how to easily engage the learner driver in meaningful coaching conversations that may help them male better decisions and keep them safer on the road.

As an advocate and 'Brand Champion' coach for The Honest Truth road safety campaign, it is also good for me to support and mentor other driving instructors to develop their coaching skills to get the best out of The Honest Truth resources.

As a Brand Partner and national trainer for IDEA, I am delighted that I can support other driving instructors gain an educational qualification to train other trainers.

I have been working with three driving instructors (one a bit camera shy) to help develop their instructional techniques and teaching them the SCQF Level 8 which is a train the trainer qualification for driving instructors.

What do I do, to stay at the top of my game to be able to provide the very best level of not only driver training but driving instructor training and train the trainer training.

I have trained with many top driving instructor trainers over the years but one man that has always stood out for me is Graham Hooper since I first trained with him fifteen years ago!

What an amazing 1st time driving test pass at Stranraer this morning for Louie Clarke-Sloan from Sandhead.

Hilary, Louie's mother had already trusted my modern coaching approach with her other son some time ago.
Now it was Louie's turn to get final test prep after a good amount of private practice with his parents.

This test pass today is a fantastic achievement for Louie as he has autism and ADHD and has worked very well and smartly to achieve this well deserved result.

Louie and mum Hilary embraced my more holistic approach looking at appropriate food and nutrition to support peak cognitive performance and he noticed a massive improvement in focus and confidence.

Louie also completed the ten 'Truths' of The Honest Truth'

Very well done Louie - safe driving.
