Workshop Update – Even on a Sunday!

I have been incredibly busy in the workshop lately, working on everything from greman roof covers to 6-pdr transit covers, and so much more. As usual, I'm so busy making and restoring items for you all. That I rarely get the chance to sit down and share what we're up to on social media!

Today was no exception – yes, we're working on a Sunday! 💪

With a little help from Dottie as always 😆🐾, we've been patterning our next project on the sewing table. We're pleased to say that we now have a working pattern for a 6-pdr transit cover.

We've been fortunate enough to have an original 6-pdr brought into the workshop, along with valuable research photos of the original cover, allowing us to create an accurate template.

Over the coming days, we'll be making the first cover from this new pattern, so be sure to stay tuned for updates!

If you're interested in having a 6-pdr transit cover made for your gun, drop me a message. We offer three different colour options and can even date the markings to match your gun's production date.

As you can see, this is still a work in progress—but every project has to start somewhere!

We’re not always about vehicle stencils — Axholme’s can do shell stencils too.
We’ve made quite a few over the years, and recently we’ve added sets for: • 18 PDR • 15 PDR • 88 Flak

Not all shell stencils are listed on the website yet, so if you can’t find what you’re looking for, just drop me a message. I’ll check what we have on file, and if it’s not there, we’ll talk you through exactly what’s needed to create a custom stencil set for you.

A great example of what our stencils can achieve on something smaller than a truck.

Here’s another custom stencil we created for one of my lovely customers. They wanted to recreate an image from a vintage photo, and this design became a simple mug stencil so they could paint multiple mugs onto the vehicle they were restoring.

You can see the original images the customer sent for me to use, along with the photos I took when I was lucky enough to see it finished in person at We Have Ways. It looks great don’t you think.

If you’ve got an idea and want to see if I can bring it to life, just drop me a message. Another great little restoration.

Recognition isn’t something I ever chase. I do what I do because I genuinely love keeping history alive. But hearing that I’d been mentioned in Classic Military Vehicle Magazine left me a little overwhelmed I have to say.

Seb kindly featured me in the article about his Chieftain, including the seat restoration I completed for him, I also did some breach block stencils for him too. It’s a lovely reminder that I put so much passion into doing really does make a difference.

It reaffirms why I do what I do, and why I do it for my customers. You can check out the full article in this month’s Classic Military Vehicle; it’s a fantastic little read.
Thank you, Seb, and thank you to every single customer who continues to support me. It means the world.
