β€οΈποΈ Supporting Our Local Blood Bikes π
Weβre proud to support our local Blood Bike volunteers and the incredible work they do for the NHS and our community.
As part of our commitment to supporting this vital service, weβre pleased to help maintain and keep the Blood Bikes on the road, ensuring these dedicated volunteers can continue delivering essential blood, medical supplies, samples and other vital items when theyβre needed most.
Itβs a privilege to play a small part in such an important service. The riders and drivers give their time freely, often at all hours, to help keep these life-saving deliveries moving.
From everyone here at Central Garage Lakenheath, thank you to all the Blood Bike volunteers for everything you do. πβ€οΈ
Weβre proud to support you and help keep you moving.
ποΈβ€οΈ Local support. Vital service. Proud to help.
Today is Blood Bike Awareness Day 2026. ποΈπβ€οΈ
Across the UK and worldwide, thousands of dedicated volunteers give their time to support the NHS and their local communities.
Blood Bike charities transport vital items including blood products, samples, medication, human milk and other medical supplies β helping ensure they get where they are needed, when they are needed.
And despite the name, Blood Bikes is about much more than motorcycles.
Itβs the riders and drivers out on the road. The controllers answering the phones and coordinating jobs. The fundraisers who keep the wheels turning. The fleet, training and administrative teams. The trustees and all those working quietly behind the scenes.
Today weβll be celebrating all of them and sharing a little more about the people, organisations and work behind the Blood Bike name.
Together, we keep vital supplies moving.
