Fort William 2 - 0 Orkney

We fell to a cup defeat against Fort William in Alness today, with Fort William securing the win with late goals in each of the half’s.

We dominated possesion throughout the game, enjoying the wide open spaces of Dalmore Park and playing consistent passing football. The final incisive pass or finish was lacking however.

Emily Kelly hit the crossbar after 25 minutes, and a super corner from Jessika Brown evaded everyone shortly afterwards.

A solid defensive display, especially positionally by the Fort William keeper, saw her gather a dozen on target shots and maintain her clean sheet.

Emeline Pesci and Hayley Stanger made impressive returns to the team, and the whole squad made mulitple excellent contribtions. Our next match is against Caithness Ladies in the League Cup, group format, at Kirkwall Grammar School on Sunday 31st May.

There is still lots of availability for Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service - SNBTS's Give Blood sessions taking place in Kirkwall next week. For Tuesday 12th May they are 84% booked and for Wednesday 13th May they are only 61% booked.

They really need to ensure they're fully booked to meet the needs of patients in Scotland.
