Over the past few weeks, we've been celebrating 11 local community groups who have been donated £1,000 each through our partner, Co-op Wholesale's charity initiative, Making A Difference Locally (MADL).
Charity #10 of the 11 is P • A • U • L For Brain Recovery, who aim to make life easier after Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) by providing support, guidance and education sessions to empower all affected. The charity also campaign to improve services, raise awareness, and promote understanding
The donation from MADL will help the charity continue to support more and more people.
"As a charity founded by a brain injury survivor, we have a real understanding of the daily, lifelong challenges faced during recovery. For many, brain injury recovery can be a long, challenging journey with many ups and downs. Some people struggle to maintain their relationships, friendships, and the normal daily routines they had before their injury. We provide specialist community support sessions that are designed to aid a better recovery and help our service users take positive steps towards reaching their new potential after brain injury. "
