🔧BMW 420i in for full lip kit, front splitter, rear diffuser, side skirts and spoiler lip
🔧Ford Kuga in for our autumn VHC deal

🔧VW Polo 1.2 recovered to us and full checkover due to engine failure, next up engine replacement!
🔧Honda S2000 in for reassembly after being stripped by a previous garage over a year ago, within a day we had the car back together, running driving and the original fault it went to the previous garage for a year ago, fixed! Full VHC found a lot of rust, poor brakes and a seized wiper linkage so we have these to attend to next!
🔧VW Transporter t4 in for MOT

Mid week post here at RKD and one of our jobs from the start of this week. Alex’s 500+hp fully forged Nissan 300zx in with us for routine checkover and repairs.

Investigated a no start issue, we found starter motor wiring had become detached from its mounting, dropped down and had got snagged and unplugged, we cleaned up damaged wires, replaced connectors and insulated before re-attaching and securing out the way.

We carried out a full cooling system flush and replaced the coolant due to being due a change before colder winter months, the car doesn’t get used much so always good to ensure antifreeze levels and concentrate are correct, wrong concentrate can cause lots of issues over cold months if not correct❄️

Alex is actually debating selling the 300zx due to lack of use and future plans, so if anyone is interested, be sure to get in touch! Car is a very good example, like no other we’ve ever seen.

Keeping busy here at RKD now we’re into the Autumn season! A reminder we have some offers on this month, with the year quickly coming to an end and Christmas approaching fast, we’re doing what we can to help keep costs lower whilst keeping you safe on the roads and your vehicles upto maintenance!⚙️

🔧Mitsubishi GTO 3.0 in with us for a list of repairs, coilovers installing correctly after previous fitting at another garage incorrect. We carried out an interim service, replacing a stripped sump plug and damaged oil sump thread repaired, replaced some steering parts and carried out an alignment before handover!
🔧VW Polo GTi in with us for our autumn VHC deal, and a further CV boot replacement and fuel filter change
🔧Ford Focus in with us for front brakes replacement after multiple quotes we were best on price! Whilst in we also secured a broken front fog lamp mentioned by customer if we had time to sort which we did!
🔧Vauxhall Astra in with us for MOT
🔧Mercedes GLA in for brake discs and pads all round, air filter and drop links replacing
🔧VW Golf GTi in with us for Cobra Sport Cat-Back exhaust system
🔧BMW Z3 in with us for handbrake adjustment and setup, and diagnose and fix a misfire
🔧 Audi a3 in for MOT
🔧Nissan Navara in for Autumn VHC
🔧Mercedes E-Class in for interim service and suspension arm replacement
🔧Nissan X-Trail in for list of repairs, lots of new front end suspension parts, a new intercooler + puncture repair
🔧Ford Mondeo in for interim service
🔧Audi TT rear trailing arms in with us to fit new wheel bearings, hub flanges, polybushes and spherical bushings

Starting the week off we have had this customer drive all the way from Bolton this morning to have work carried out by us here at RKD! We asked how he found us, pretty cool - He asked ChatGPT for a recommended garage to fit his Decat Downpipe on his Mk7.5 Golf GTi, and we were the first suggestion. He followed up by checking our reviews and website and booked in straight away! 🙌🏼

🔧BMW E92 330d in for suspension noise diagnosis, we stripped the front coilovers, disassembled the solid camber top mounts, greased and reinstalled correctly after poor previous fitment. Adjusted ride height front and rear so suit the customers requests once fixed.
🔧Jaguar F Pace in for Full Service and MOT
🔧Vauxhall Corsa in for MOT and repairs, diagnosed airbag fault replaced an impact sensor after Tracing the fault and testing wiring, replaced steering rack ends and supplied and fit new fuel cap
🔧BMW 320i f30 in with us for full new styling kit fitting, rear diffuser, rear bumper spats, rear spoiler, boot lid debadge, new front bumper badge and front splitter fitted.
🔧Nissan Leaf in with us for suspension repairs, we replaced coil spring and suspension top mounting
🔧Alfa Romeo Mito in for front brake discs and pads replacing, after customer tried themselves and rounded bolts we had to fix issues before starting the repair! Always give us a message before having a go yourself, when this customer realised the cost for us to do it properly, he regretted even attempting!
🔧Suzuki SX4 in for interim service and checkover
🔧Citroen c3 in for front brake discs and pads replaced
🔧Nissan Micra in for service, MOT & repairs
🔧BMW X5 in for MOT and repairs

🔧🏁Our Nissan s13 is making progress, this week we made up and fitted the clutch master cylinder, making a reverse mounted setup meant we had to fabricate a bracket, chop up the factory pedal and modify to change pivot point due to master rod now pushing the opposite direction from factory position. We got the dashboard in and mounted, made up oil cooler AN lines, finished up our electric power steering lines we now have both low and high pressure lines ran to the steering rack. Got the intercooler boost pipes all made and tacked in place ready to be tig welded. Slow and steady progress!

One of our recent jobs! Returning customer brought us his Clio RS 200 Track car in for more work! This time fitted a new full manifold back exhaust system!

After a little ‘off’ on a trackday, the grass claimed the exhaust flexi on the old system, which was a perfect excuse for a full new system! The old system had multiple leaks and previous repairs.

Pure Motorsport full system fitted, exhaust manifold, no more flexi, now on springs! Centre resonator and backbox.

Whilst in, we also fitted x4 new semi slick tyres ready for its next outing! 🏁
