What a fantastic achievement and a well-deserved result!

Grace's journey to gaining her full licence hasn't been straightforward. She previously learned to drive near Nottingham and, after two unsuccessful test attempts several years ago, the COVID pandemic brought her driving journey to a halt. As her career became the priority, driving had to take a back seat.

After relocating to Hull, Grace faced a new challenge. Driving in a completely different city, with unfamiliar roads and traffic systems, meant starting with a fresh approach.

Rather than jumping straight into lessons, we began with a full driving assessment. This allowed us to identify the areas that needed attention and create a structured lesson plan focused on filling those knowledge gaps.

Just as importantly, we worked on rebuilding Grace's confidence. Previous test disappointments had left her doubting her ability, so developing that confidence became a key part of her training alongside improving her driving skills.

We set today's test as our target, stayed focused on the plan, and step by step Grace made excellent progress.

Today, everything came together. She produced a safe, confident drive and earned her full driving licence. 🚗✅

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS OLIVIA ATKINSON! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Olivia on passing her driving test with just 3 driving faults – an excellent result! 👏🚗

Whilst learning, Olivia bought her first car and practiced with mum and dad on the subjects we had covered, this really helped with gaining experience and confidence between lessons.
Olivia also discussed taking the test in her own car, which I had no issues with as she had driven that more than mine. So, once we had put safety measures in place and Olivia had mastered vehicle control we did lessons in her car, covering all manouvres and driving skills, preparing her for the big day!

CONGRATULATIONS AIMEE SCARAH!! On passing your test today!

Today was Aimee's day to become a fully qualified driver 🏆
It hasn't all been plain sailing though, Aimee has battled nerves, anxiety and frustration whilst learning to drive - emotions which many new drivers have to learn to deal with and keep at bay.
With structured lessons tailored to suit Aimee's learning style we overcame those hurdles and before too long Aimee was ready for her test.
Sadly, during her first attempt those nerves crept back in and she was unsuccessful due to just 1 fault 😩 So, we worked on the issue and found another test date as soon as possible 🗓
So, at 6am this morning myself, Aimee and the duck (which Aimee's daughter gave her for good luck) all went for a drive to Bridlington ready for a warm up drive and test at 8am!
After the test the examimer complimented the drive and Aimee walked away with 3 faults and a full licence! 🚗✔️

Well done, well deserved and all the best for the future 🏆

A huge well done to one of my pupils who recently passed their Theory Test with an excellent result:
✅ 48/50 on the Multiple Choice Questions
✅ 65/75 on Hazard Perception
What makes this result even better is that this pupil initially found the theory test really challenging. Rather than giving up, they kept practising, stayed determined and trusted the process. The hard work paid off! 💪
Why Passing Your Theory Test Early Is So Important
🚗 Makes practical lessons easier
Once you understand the theory behind driving, road signs, hazards, priorities and rules of the road, it's much easier to apply that knowledge during lessons.
📚 Often means fewer practical lessons
If you already understand what you're trying to achieve, less lesson time is spent explaining concepts and more time is spent developing driving skills.
📅 Allows you to book a practical test in advance
You can't book a practical driving test until you've passed your theory. Passing early gives you more flexibility and can help you secure a suitable test date sooner.
😌 Less pressure if things don't go to plan.
If your theory test doesn't go your way first time, you still have plenty of time available before you are ready to book your practical.
🎯 One less thing to worry about
With the theory test completed, you can focus 100% of your attention on becoming a safe, confident driver and preparing for your practical test.

CONGRATULATIONS RACHEL JACKLIN on passing your test today 1st attempt!

Rachel had started learning to drive approx 12yrs ago and stopped due to personal reasons. Despite wanting to restart several times since then, she has struggled with confidence and anxiety which prevented her.
After deciding to give it 'one last go' she contacted me and I am pleased to be able help her overcome all her issues and help her not only regain confidence and settle her anxiety but also fill in her knowledge gaps and help her become a safe and competent driver.

All the planning, coaching and training came to fruition today when she had an excellent drive on her test resulting in just 3 minor faults and a full licence! 🏆

CONGRATULATIONS! JOSIAH DENTON-BARBER on passing your test yesterday!!

Josiah had previously taken lessons with another instructor and had one test attempt.

After an initial assessment, it was clear Josiah could drive but still needed some training on certain situations, and fill some knowledge gaps, including driving on rural roads.

After just 7 lessons, Josiah was now not just test ready, but 'Road Ready' and back at a test centre, this time Bridlington (previous was Wakefield) where he took to the roads with a calm, positive mindset delivering an excellent drive with just 1 fault being recorded (show me question). 🏆

Now Josiah can hit the road with confidence knowing he has the knowledge to drive safely anywhere at any time in his own car!
