🎉🚗 SHE’S DONE IT! 🚗🎉

A massive well done to Grace, who passed her driving test TODAY with just 2 minor driver faults! 👏🥳

Grace has put in a huge amount of hard work to get to this point, and with pure grit and determination, she absolutely smashed it! 💪🚗

A special mention has to go to Dad, Andrew, and of course Mum, whose support has played a massive part in helping Grace achieve this. I know both Grace and myself are incredibly grateful for everything they’ve done along the way. ❤️

It’s been a real team effort, but today was all down to you, Grace — enjoy that well-earned freedom! 🥳

And hopefully that means no more handlebar rides or relying on croggies from Jack! 😂🤣 You can finally drive yourself!

Thinking of enquiring about driving lessons? Please read this first… 🐜

Before making an enquiry, please make sure you’re genuinely able to commit to regular weekly driving lessons.

I offer learners a regular space in my diary. That space is reserved specifically for you every week, which means I can’t offer it to somebody else.

Being self-employed means the bills don’t disappear when lessons do! The car payment, insurance, fuel, maintenance and general business expenses still need paying whether you’re sitting in the seat or I’m sitting there on my own. 😂

Of course, genuine illness, emergencies, holidays and unavoidable situations happen — I’m human and I completely understand that.

But regular cancellations are different.

I’ve heard plenty of excuses over the years, and I’m just waiting for:

“Sorry Rich, the cat’s had a s**t somewhere in the house and I can’t leave until I’ve found it.” 🐈💩😂

As covered in my Terms & Conditions, repeated cancellations can result in your regular allocated space being withdrawn and offered to somebody who is able to commit and genuinely wants to learn.

So before making an enquiry, please consider whether you can realistically commit to a weekly lesson.

There are people waiting for spaces, and it’s simply not fair to keep a regular slot unavailable when somebody else would happily use it every week.

If you want a regular space, please be prepared to attend it regularly. 👍

🚗 DrAnt’s Top Tip – Following Distance

“Only a fool breaks the 2-second rule!” ⏱️

When following another vehicle, always leave at least a 2-second gap in dry conditions.

Why? Because that gap gives you the space needed to stop safely if the vehicle ahead suddenly slows or stops.

📖 Highway Code – Rule 126 advises drivers to allow at least a 2-second gap between you and the vehicle in front on high-speed roads and in tunnels where visibility is reduced.

🌧️ Wet roads? Double it to at least 4 seconds.
❄️ Icy roads? Leave a much bigger gap — up to 10 times greater.

And remember the message on the back of the DrAnt’s car…

🚗 DrAnt’s Top Tip for All Learner Drivers! 🐜

📚 Study for and pass your theory test as soon as possible!

Don’t wait until you feel “ready” for your practical test before thinking about your theory. Getting it done early has some big advantages:

✅ Practical test waiting times can be long – you need your theory passed before you can book your practical test.

✅ It gives you valuable road knowledge before you’re behind the wheel – signs, markings, priorities, hazards and general road procedures will already be more familiar.

✅ It can make those first few driving lessons feel less scary! 😬➡️😎
The more you understand about what’s happening around you, the more you can concentrate on actually controlling the car.

Think of your theory as part of learning to drive – not something to leave until the end.

📖 Start studying early, get that theory passed and give yourself the best possible start on the road!
