🚗 Taking your driving test? Hate the silence? Feeling nervous?

Talk yourself through the drive! 🗣️

“Mirrors… easing off… checking that junction… waiting for a safe gap…”

Don’t worry if you sound batsh*t crazy — I talk to myself all the time! 😂 Hopefully you’ll pass and never see the examiner again anyway!

This is my top tip, and examiners love it because they know what you’re seeing and planning. Talking yourself through the drive can help you stay focused, show that you’re aware of your surroundings and stop your nerves from taking over.

Keep it simple, keep your eyes on the road say what you see 👀

🚗 IMPORTANT DRIVING TEST UPDATE – TEST SWAPS 🚗

From 1 October, the DVSA is changing the way learner drivers can swap practical driving test appointments.

Previously, both learners needed to be available at the same time to arrange the swap. Under the new process:

📞 The first learner calls the DVSA to request the swap.
📞 The second learner then calls the DVSA separately to confirm they’re happy with the swap.
📅 Both calls MUST be made on the same working day for the swap to be processed.

This should make swapping test appointments a little easier, as you no longer need to coordinate a time when you can both be on the phone together.

Please bear this in mind if you’re considering swapping a test date with another learner.

🎉🚗 SHE’S DONE IT! 🚗🎉

A massive well done to Grace, who passed her driving test TODAY with just 2 minor driver faults! 👏🥳

Grace has put in a huge amount of hard work to get to this point, and with pure grit and determination, she absolutely smashed it! 💪🚗

A special mention has to go to Dad, Andrew, and of course Mum, whose support has played a massive part in helping Grace achieve this. I know both Grace and myself are incredibly grateful for everything they’ve done along the way. ❤️

It’s been a real team effort, but today was all down to you, Grace — enjoy that well-earned freedom! 🥳

And hopefully that means no more handlebar rides or relying on croggies from Jack! 😂🤣 You can finally drive yourself!

Stay safe, enjoy every mile and congratulations again! 🐜🚗💛
