SHARE A WORKSHOP? Or do you have a workshop to let?

Workshop still wanted close to Buckfastleigh.

If you have a barn, large garage, shed or industrial unit that might be suitable, pease let me know.

As many of you know, I rent a workshop on a flood plain near Newton Abbot and have been flooded twice. I need to move to a smaller unit closer to Buckfastleigh for my small Classic Car and furniture business.

I'm willing to share with the right person; larger units are cheaper per square foot. I need between 500 square feet and 1000 square feet with parking, electricity and water.

Due to age and health issues, I don't work full weeks and am 'semi-retired', though I can't afford to retire completely on a state pension, so the distinction is somewhat academic. I can't afford a full commercial rent on my own.

I'd also be very grateful if you could share this post widely.
Thanks all,
Nick.

To all who have helped so far, a huge, huge thankyou.

Here’s an update.

I’ve replaced the following damaged items; A 12 volt car battery, a wet and dry shop vacuum cleaner, a multi-meter, a drill, an angle grinder, some second-hand power tools including a drill/driver, torch and jigsaw.

But mostly, your contribution has helped buy me time and the means to rectify the last of the problems, caused by the flood, with a customer’s car: replacing some lost parts and giving me time to make some lost parts that are no longer available. I’ve also been able to deal with some issues with my own car that is my only transport at the moment. I found time to fix one of my welders too.

I’m still looking for alternative premises and the bulk of money raised through the GoFundMe will go towards that move. I’m interested in getting back to a more community oriented business, perhaps via a community interest company able to to offer teaching some of the general mechanical skills being lost at an alarming rate.

So if you happen to know anyone with a suitable building to let near Buckfastleigh, please let me know.

Thanks again for your support. If you could continue to help by sharing my GoFundMe on your social media, that would be marvellous. The link is here: https://gofund.me/3a72ed1c4

Best wishes,

Nick

Nick's classic car and furniture workshop was flooded twice, leaving him struggling to rebuild. At 69, he needs our help to find a new space and replace essential tools. Every donation counts and sharing this message can make a difference. Let’s support Nick in his time of need!
