Briefing 23 June 2020. Despite the easing of lockdown driving instructors are still not permitted to give lessons to anyone other that key workers. We are hoping for more encouraging news over the coming days, i will update my website and here once i know more. I am still aiming to restart on July 6th subject to government and DVSA approval.

Pupil Theory Test Workshops

On Friday 1st May we ran a test of an hour-long, online theory test workshop with AA pupils. We’re happy to report the session was well received and as a result we will be extending the programme and promoting it nationally for any pupil to attend (regardless of who they currently take lessons with).

The free online workshops will run every week day from Monday 18th May for 19 days. If any of your pupils would like to sign up they can do so here: https://www.theaa.com/driving-school/driving-lessons/advice/learn-driving-theory

Again, this is in the early stages of development, but we wanted to let you know in case you get any questions from your pupils about the session, we’ll keep you up to date with progress. Please note that spaces are limited and are reserved for pupils, we’ll be recording the sessions so if you are curious we’ll let you know when the recordings are available.

Prospective learner drivers can now engage and learn from an AA Advanced Driving Instructor online. The free daily workshops will cover 16 key aspects of theory tuition to offer a comprehensive learning experience possible without actually being in a car!
