⚠️🦌 Oh Deer what happened here? 🦌⚠️

This customer hit a deer on the backroads out of Kinghorn during an early morning drive to work in their two year old BMW 1 Series. Thankfully, the deer ran off and the customer was okay apart from getting a fright, with minimal damage to the car.

The impact triggered the bonnet crash actuators. These are fitted to many modern vehicles and use pyrotechnic charges to lift the bonnet on impact. Creating a crumple zone to help reduce injury to pedestrians and often saving the bonnet from damage in low speed bumps💥

Understandably, the customer was keen to avoid a main dealer visit 🦈 or an insurance claim. So they brought the car to us to see what we could do!

We assessed the car and replaced the crash actuators and both bonnet hinges using genuine BMW equipment. We then realigned the bonnet which was definitely the trickiest part of the job!

Main dealer labour costs avoided, no insurance hassle, and the car back to looking as it should without it being too DEER ✅😎

I have had a few MX5’s over the last few years and have been hunting for a good example for a while. I have personally used this car for the last few months - During that time we have fitted a new exhaust system, serviced the car and carried out full underside treatment.

Fantastic example, solid underneath - all the usual points have been previously taken care of to a high standard.

Previously owned by an enthusiast who documented everything down to recording every time he put fuel in the car!

Roof in excellent condition and goes up or down in less than 10 seconds. Has a dent on the drivers door however easily fixed.

Low mileage? How about this 2009 Hyundai Coupe with just 26000 miles from new 🚗

A great looking car - I remember working on a brand new one in 2007 when i was an apprentice at Arnold Clark, Motherwell. With those blue dials and black leather interior, I wanted one!

This particular car belonged to a good customer’s late mum so it’s a bit more special... Cheryl brought the car to us for a checkover and much needed underside refresh💥 The car came up fantastic and added some more years to its life span ❤️
