Rant warning! Anyone trying to get a test will tell you how difficult they are to get so it is so the incident yesterday is so frustrating.
Yesterday someone did not turn up for their test which is always annoying enough, but it turns out they had some issues with a previous test which meant this time they were required to have another examiner ride in the back. The result of their no show was 2 examiners could not do tests for the people who actually would turn up!
Now I am guessing they will book another test at some point and yet again they will tie up another 2 examiners for their test.
Firstly, I hope this time they will actually turn up but what about the cost? I believe they pay just the standard fee which if the reports are correct, results in a £26 loss for the DVSA with just the usual one examiner, so how much is this costing with the 2 examiners and as they push up the waiting times further?
Surely something needs to be done, even if it is only to recover the amount it costs to carry out these tests when someone takes their anger out on the examiner who is only doing their job!
