π IMPORTANT INFORMATION π
Make sure that when you are booking your driving test it's only done through the gov.uk site.
A main reason for the test booking changes was to crack down on 'bots' taking up a lot of tests and not helping with backlogs for learners! If you use a different site you may find your test will not go ahead and you'll just lose your money.
Please stay vigilant and only use the actual gov.uk booking site!

Police Warn Ayrshire Learner Drivers Over Rise in Online Driving Test Scams
Learner drivers across Ayrshire are being urged to stay vigilant after Police Scotland warned of an increase in fraudulent driving test offers circulating online.
The warning comes amid reports of scammers claiming they can secure driving test appointments or cancellations for a fee through unofficial websites, social media pages and third-party apps.
Police are reminding motorists that the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has introduced stricter rules to tackle the misuse of its booking system.
Under the updated guidance, learners should not use automated cancellation finder apps or bots to search for test slots, pay social media βbookersβ to obtain or swap appointments, or allow anyone else, including driving instructors, to book or manage a driving test on their behalf.
Anyone found using unofficial apps or third-party booking services could have their driving test cancelled by the DVSA, while their online booking account may also be suspended. If this happens, future bookings may only be possible by telephone.
Police Scotland is encouraging anyone looking to book a driving test to do so only through official DVSA channels and to be wary of anyone offering guaranteed test dates or asking for payment through social media.
The force is reminding the public to stay alert online and report suspected scams to help protect others from falling victim.
