🚫 Booking Your Driving Test Without Your Driving Instructors Consent
It’s becoming far too common for learners to grab a test date before their instructor confirms they’re ready , or even grabbing a test before you have ever had your first driving lesson , but here’s the reality.
If you book a driving test without your instructor’s explicit consent, you will not be permitted to use their vehicle.
No exceptions.
No excuses.
Driving instructors across the UK have heard every version of “my instructor let me down” or “my instructor wasn’t available.”
The truth is, your instructor is protecting both you and their professional reputation.
When a pupil takes a test too soon, it doesn’t just risk a fail :
✋ it can trigger DVSA Standards Check Markers, putting an instructor’s career at risk. Imagine jeopardising your livelihood because someone rushed to book a slot they weren’t ready for!
✋Why should we put the examiners through that knowing you are not ready!
✋ You might be lucky and even pass but after you pass you may not be so lucky !
Yes, you might fluke a pass. It’s possible.
But once your instructor steps out of the car, there’s no safety net.
The real test begins on real roads with real risks, real lives, and no one there to grab the wheel if it goes wrong.
🌷 We have seen more flowers tied on streetlights and trees than you will ever know !
We know it’s tempting when new dates appear online, but don’t panic book your future.
If you’re truly ready, your instructor will be the first to celebrate it with you.
If not, trust that we’re guiding you for the right reasons safety, skill, and survival. 🫶🏾
