Bit of an unusual one today at NLRS!

Customer left after having a replacement fuel filter housing fitted this morning and unfortunatly a few hundred yards away was involved in an RTC. Ripping his rear axle from under his 110.

We dropped tools, spoke to the emergency services, unloaded our trailer and took the forklift to help with loading as rear axle was unattached and recovered it back to our workshop so it was safe and avoiding costly recovery fees for the owner.

Insurance are involved but hopefully we can repair it to get it back on the road should the owner wish too.

Discs and pads. Springs and shocks all round and exhaust flexi on this bmw e90 to get it through it’s MOT

Both door bottoms were rotten on this TD5 110.

So to catch it before it got worse we chopped them out and welded some premade panels in.

This car came into us with “restricted performance”
Fault logged regarding the secondary turbo across over valve.
Smoke tested the vacuum system, found no leak.
Vacuum tested the crossover valve actuator, works as it should.

Turns out this has a failed turbo.
Customer only just purchased the car so will be going back to the trader for rectifying/refund.

Customers Discovery 5 came to us with a fuel leak but only when tank is full. Didn’t take long to pin point where the issue was!
