Only you Sam can go in saying a pass is the only acceptable result and a pass it was. First time with only one fault. Your lessons have been entertaining to say the least. Really pleased you came back to driving, even if you did leave it 3 years....... happy car shopping

Josh Forgan-Brooks where do i start.... from quiet josh to....... no i can't do it. You've chatted your way through your lessons, educating me on football and making me laugh when you always get the bets wrong. But I could never fault you for the effort and hard work you put in and didn't it pay off today. Passing first time with only 2 driver faults. Don't stop checking those mirrors, I will get Lilly to check. Well done Josh, super proud x

🚗 Driving Test Swap Update – Important Changes from 12 May 2026 🚗

There’s been a big change to how driving tests can be swapped, and it’s something all learners need to be aware of.

From 12 May 2026, you will only be able to swap your driving test yourself with another learner driver. Instructors (including myself) will no longer be able to do this on your behalf. Unfortunately whilst 90% of instructors are honest the minority have spoilt it by charging extra for booking tests and swapping them 😡

👉 Check that both your test centres meet this location rule before you call DVSA and ,the same type of test . You cannot swap a weekend test with a weekday test .

Before swapping, make sure:
✔️ You’re ready for the new test date
✔️ I’m available for that date, time, and location

A good way to check that you’re not booking whilst your instructor is away or has another test is to use their ADI number . A lot of us put dates to avoid on the DVSA booking site .

📞 Swaps can only be done by phone with DVSA You’ll both need your booking reference numbers and licence details (but never share sensitive info directly with each other).
You must both be available for a call at the same time .

💬 Good news:Many instructors (myself included) are part of a Test Swap WhatsApp group.

So while I can’t do the swap for you anymore, I can help you find someone to swap with.

It's a happy Ellie day for passing her test first time. A really great drive and so much effort was put in, you were definitely determined and I cannot fault you for that. Monday's won't be the same anymore. Enjoy your car and keep being brilliant x
