We cannot thank you enough for such a fantastic review, makes everything worthwhile π€
βTracy, I honestly donβt think a simple βthank youβ could ever cover what you have meant to Harvey and to all of us.
Teaching someone to drive is one thing. Understanding the young person sitting behind the wheel, knowing when to push, when to slow things down, when to explain something differently and, most importantly, believing in them when they donβt quite believe in themselves yet, that is something completely different.
You got to know Harvey. You understood that his journey wasnβt always going to be a straight line, and you never reduced him to the things that sometimes made life or learning harder for him. You saw the young man underneath it all and kept bringing him back to what he was capable of.
As a parent, Jemma and I could support him, encourage him and keep him going, and I followed your lead wherever I could. But you were the one in that car, patiently teaching, correcting, challenging and preparing him for the responsibility that comes with being behind the wheel.
There were difficult days, mistakes, frustration and disappointment along the way. But you never gave up on him. And that matters.
Harvey has now passed his test, and while the certificate belongs to him, there is a little piece of your teaching in that achievement too. One day he may look back and simply remember passing his driving test. We will remember the person who helped him get there.
There is something beautiful about helping a young person cross one of those early bridges into adulthood. You don't just teach them how to control a car, you teach awareness, patience, responsibility, confidence and consequences. Those lessons travel far beyond the driving seat.
So from me, from Jemma, and from Harvey... Thank you.
You took the lead, we followed it, and together we helped Harvey get over the line.
You will always be part of his journey, Tracy. Not just the woman who taught him to drive, but one of the people who helped him believe he could.
We are genuinely grateful. ###β
