Who’s excited to see Peter Rabbit switch on the Packhorse Court Christmas lights?

Join us on Wednesday 18th November for some festive fun as we kick off the Christmas season!

🎶 First up, at 5 pm, the wonderful St Herbert’s CofE School Choir will get the celebrations underway, filling Packhorse Court with festive cheer before Peter Rabbit switches on the Christmas lights at 5.30 pm!

And the festive fun continues over in Market Square, with plenty more entertainment on the main stage!

🎭 5.40 pm – Theatre by the Lake
🎤 6.00 pm – G’RL, our talented local youth singers, and Bevy (Local Vocals)
🎄 7.00 pm – Market Square Christmas Lights Switch-On!

Our Market Square Christmas lights will be officially switched on by Town Mayor Natalie Evans, alongside our Town Crier, Marc McAdam, sporting his brand-new outfit! 🎉

Gather your friends and family, wrap up warm and join us for an evening of festive music, Christmas magic and community spirit.

Meet Rich 😄

Rich is the face of Hometyre in Keswick and across North Cumbria, and for 8 years he’s been helping customers throughout the Lakes keep safely on the move. ⛰️

Before joining Hometyre, Rich worked as a recovery truck driver, attending breakdowns across the region and supporting the police with vehicle recoveries. That experience gave him the ability to stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and help people through stressful situations — skills that still benefit his customers every day.

Now, instead of unpredictable shift work and emergency call-outs, Rich spends his days helping customers at home, at work, and sometimes in some very scenic Lake District locations!

Whether it’s fitting tyres on a driveway in Keswick, helping a holidaymaker stuck in a rural car park, or carrying out a puncture repair for a local customer, Rich is known for his friendly nature, professionalism, and reliable service!!

While it might be tempting to ignore it, that light is trying to save you money, time, and potentially your life. Here is why paying attention to your TPMS is so important:

🛡️ Enhanced Safety: Driving on underinflated tyres drastically increases the risk of dangerous blowouts and makes steering and braking much more difficult. TPMS alerts you before a catastrophic tyre failure occurs.

⛽ Improved Fuel Efficiency: Did you know that correct tyre pressure can improve your gas mileage by up to 3%? Your TPMS ensures your tyres have the optimal balance of resistance, saving you money at the pump!
