Advanced Motorcycling Taster - Free Assessment Rides

For our 2026 Open Day, we are offering the opportunity for motorcyclists in the Coventry and Warwickshire area who have passed the DVSA motorcycle test and hold a valid, full category A-1, A-2, or A motorcycle licence to undertake a no-pressure, free, one-hour appraisal of their riding with an IAM RoadSmart qualified expert.

- Get valuable tips to help you improve your confidence and enjoy your riding more.
- Join us and have access to all our club events, ride outs and social nights.
- Meet the existing members and ask them about club life and our social events.

If you're not confident carrying out these checks, give us a call on 01926 855541 and we'll help you out.

Motorbike maintenance is crucial to keeping you safe on the road. If you bike has been in storage for a while, or off the road over the winter months, it can develop safety critical issues.

Before that first ride out check:
1. Tyres - tread, pressure, cracking and age.
2. Fluids -engine oil - level and condition, coolant levels and brake fluid
3. Chain and drive - check it is lubricated and the right tension
4. Brakes - test rear and front brakes for firmness and look for leaks or rust on brake discs.
5. Lights and controls - test all lights and horn before driving off.
6. Around and under the bike for leaks or rust, check small animals nests.

If you are not comfortable doing these checks yourself, some garages offer free or low-cost safety checks to get your bike back on the road safely.
