🕳️ POTHOLES… AN UNWELCOME PART OF WINTER DRIVING.

Sometimes, despite your best efforts, you just can’t avoid one. But how do you know if it’s left more than a dent in your day?

Look out for:

🚗 Your car pulling to one side or an off-centre steering wheel
🛞 Uneven tyre wear, bulges or visible wheel damage
🔊 New clunking or banging noises over bumps
〰️ Unusual vibrations or shaking
⚠️ Steering that feels different or less stable

Hit a pothole and something doesn’t feel right? Get it checked before a small problem becomes a bigger repair.

As we head into the colder months, it’s worth giving your car battery a little extra thought. 🔋❄️

Lower temperatures can reduce a battery’s performance, and an older or already weakened battery may start to show signs of struggling as the weather gets colder.

Things to look out for include slower starting, dimmer lights or electrical issues. If your battery is several years old, having it checked before winter can help identify any problems early.

And if you’re ever unsure, we’re always happy to offer advice.

What a fantastic piece of history! This is C. J. Deal Railway Garage, way back around 1919 — right at the beginning.

Over a century later, from the early days of motoring to today’s servicing, MOTs, repairs and tyres, a lot may have changed... but looking after local motorists remains at the heart of what we do.

Serving generations of motorists since 1919. 🚗🔧

MOT coming up? Here are the 3 most common reasons cars fail.

🚗 Lights & indicators – bulbs out, brake lights not working, or faulty indicators
🛞 Tyres – low tread, damage, or worn edges
🛑 Brakes – worn pads/discs or reduced braking performance

✅ A quick check before your MOT can save you time, money, and a retest.

📩 MOT due soon? Contact Deal of Kelvedon to book in.
