I’m still alive, just.
Welcome visit from with his immaculate JDM Vortech charged VI-RS for a replacement water pump, coolant change and alignment. Great to see something different both in regards to the car and it’s method of forced induction!

I’m still working through the list/current vehicles in house. Ready to open the book to take bookings for next year if anyone wants to jump in early to secure a slot in 2023 👍🏻

Plugging away at the never ending list. I’m having to put new bookings on hold so I do apologise but I need to get through the longer term work I have in at present to make some space.

B18C4 fitted into an EJ6 Coupe. A few bits to button up and source before she’s a runner.

B18C4 CSS going together for turbo EK3. Everything’s arrived at last so there’s going to be a decent push to get this car back together after a long wait.

Late shift done to get my K24 Frank into the DC2 for testing. More to come on this engine/car which I’m looking forward to getting into!

Ben’s FN2 back for suspension upgrades! YellowSpeed Coilovers, camber shims, service, valve clearance adjustment and alignment. Report back from the following track day at Croft was that the car was night and day over the oem suspension. Happy customer.

FN2 in for an oil leak rectifying. That gallery b**g is always worth checking!

And Luke’s EP3 for a quick radiator change ahead of his Blyton Park visit today. Hope the car behaves mate.

CRX B18C is ready to be stripped for inspection prior to a complete overhaul/revamp with some lovely parts to squeeze some more N/A ponies out of it.

And lastly a B18C6 to inspect and re-assemble for an EG track car that suffered an unfortunate failure of its B16A2 the other week at Cadwell Park.

Loads going on behind this lot. K20 CSS turbo engine, EG B18C swap nearing completion, awaiting parts for a DC2 K swap to come and the reel of AMRs EP3s still keeps rolling to prep them for sale!

I’ll be having a well looked forward to break next week through till the 20th so there won’t be much in the way of bookings or query response. I’ll be back to it fresh as a daisy once I’m back in! 😁

Possibly the tidiest EK chassis I’ve ever seen. Turned round Joshs replacement civic build in from a bog standard 1.5 EK3 to a K20 ripper in under 24hrs. Still a few bits to find/replace to make it what the old car was up to spec wise but she’s a looker for sure.

Still up and running!

Quiet on the socials yet again as I’m drowning in work. Do people still have cars serviced or do they just want engine conversions/engine rebuilds/box builds and anything else that’s more than an afternoons work?! All appreciated regardless.

I know a number of you are waiting for bookings, I’m doing my best to balance progress on my current work load with what else is due in along with trying to squeeze others in too.

Slogged away from Friday through the weekend to get Dees K24 swap done, CRX for mot prep/service/oil leak rectification, another CRX arriving tomorrow for an engine build, EG arriving later in the week for a B18C conversion, DC5 completed the other week for a box refresh/FD swap, EG Turbo Z6 finished and back with the owner.. one goes and 5 more want to get in. Help!

Evans EG Z6 rebuild on the home stretch.

Bonnet underside to paint, injector wiring to tidy (crimp connectors to adapt injector plugs are not okay) and get some miles on the engine before collection. Lovely car and so good to see a D series in its original chassis these days.

I’ve got lots of messages to catch up on in due course, and apologies for the lack of phone communication. My landline is down at present but should be sorted within a few days.

I’ll do my best to reply to all emails/messages over the weekend.

In a world where a K swaps are everywhere, it’s still nice to hear a B series sing 👍🏻 Faultless morning on the dyno for Joe, made the efforts over the last few weeks worthwhile.

Back in and running sweet once more. Super smooth, no smoke. Just in time for its dyno session on Monday and Cadwell on Friday!

Busy week!

Two engines buttoned up ready to go back into their respective cars.

- B16A2; Top to bottom rebuild after dropping a valve a month ago at Blyton park. Replacement rods/pistons, new bearings, new rings, re-honed, replacement cylinder head, cylinder head skimmed and tested, replacement retainers, de-coked valves, re-seated valves, new stem seals, head gasket, cam seals, crank seals.. the works. An L*D gearbox to assemble tomorrow and dyno day on Monday!

- D16Z6; Replacement piston rings, freshly honed, new gaskets throughout, new stem seals, crank seals, head gasket, valves de-coked and re-seated, head skimmed and tested. Just the bay to get in top coat early next week before fitting and running in.

FN2 in for a service/mot work yesterday along with an EP3 in for a timing chain replacement/service/brakes, another FN2 due in tomorrow and an EP3 to finish for AMR. It never ends!

Off the socials a little lately. Work load never slows down enough for me to take a moment to share anything!

Just a couple of jobs in progress/completed over the last month:

- EP3: Replacement clutch, solid fabrications exhaust, brake inspection and timing chain inspection. Just some new pads to fit up front, a quick oil/filter change and an MOT it’ll be good to go.

- M Factory L*D supplied and fitted into an EP3 box.

- B16A2 and D16Z6 blocks away for honing, D16Z6 head for a skim and pressure test.

- Did manage a quick hour checking my own B18C projects valve to valve clearances with the new camshafts. More room than expected though this window is likely to narrow considerably when p2v is checked once they’re degreed in

- Hayden’s gorgeous DC2 in for a new timing belt, tensioner, water pump, thermostat and coolant change

- Wills Fonda made some juice on the dyno! We’ve been chasing a hesitation/misfire on vtec crossover, this was largely down to the map previously loaded but it has since benefited from a full return fuel system, swirl pot and high pressure external pump along with having the RDX injectors flow tested. She sings!

- Lovely red EG with a D16Z6 turbo for an engine refresh to cure excessive smoke/oil consumption and an engine bay spray.

Two more EP3s for AMR motors on going to mechanically prep for him before they go up for sale, Aaron’s EK9 in for a gearbox repair on Friday and a K20 to strip down to prep for CSS ahead of a full top to bottom rebuild to see some serious boost!
