Hoping to finalise a property in January, folks. Looking forward to this new journey, and hoping I can be of benefit to the community by:
- Buying vehicles to salvage and restore at a better price than local ELV centres.
- Rent out space for DIY mechanics to work in a garage and off the roadside at affordable rates.
- Allow individuals to buy and use parts from salvaged cars and install them there.
- Try and create partnerships with local educational institutions and apprentices to offer physical training on a variety of vehicles
- get local youngsters in to learn about vehicle maintenance and offer opportunities to gain a reference on their cv's
- and other ideas I am sure I will come up with along the way to help people within Ayrshire.
I am not looking to profit exactly from this place, and would be quite happy to break even and just help people save some money at a time when many of us are struggling. If anyone thinks this project may be of use to them, or have any other ideas of way of boosting our community around this idea, then please share this post, or get in touch.
Also if anyone has ideas of a site that may be suitable, as I have only about 3 sites so far which could be feasible.
