It's Tyre Safety Month!

Checking your tyre tread takes less than a minute and costs nothing.

Here’s one way you can do this:
1️⃣ Place a 20p coin into the main tread grooves of your tyre
2️⃣ If you can’t see the coin’s outer band, your tread is above the legal limit ✅
3️⃣ If you can see the outer band, your tread may be too low ⚠️ Get it checked ASAP
4️⃣ Repeat at several points around the circumference and on each tyre

The legal minimum tread depth in the UK is 1.6mm, but tyres can lose grip well before that point, especially in wet weather.
