Back from holiday more Adria’s to do 3 this week

In just over 24hrs I go from a beach to the roof of a Adria twin removing the maxxfan and fitting another dometic FJZ7 2600 air con so they can go away this week
Hopefully more stock arriving shortly from the August delivery
And now sitting here trying to catch up on quotes !

A few days off from after many many crazy long days doing campervans , trying to catch up with some quotes and replies I need to do for customers. It’s been really busy ,so I’m behind so if your waiting for me to get back to you I will shortly

So it’s official , after my meeting with Adria 2 weeks ago we are now part of the family according to the email!

I was after some sort of approval that they were happy with the work we carried out with our electrical upgrade and it would cause no issues with with the warranty , as we do get asked that.
Because it’s fully independent of the factory system it can’t anyway.

We know them inside out just about as we have done so many

So ive ended up with much more which is brilliant

We’re officially approved dealers, we will be able to support customers with electrical issues under warranty if needed , access spare parts and have access to all there technical information for a start and then we’ll see what happens from there

So Adria twin thetford fridge power consumption test

We have a collection of twin in at the moment and a couple of 60y’s with no solar so I wanted to see if exactly how much power the compressor fridge consumed in 24 hrs in this hot weather
Screen showed around 33c inside today . The tested one has one of our Roamer 340ah batteries so yesterday when I switch the fridge on it was at 48% 24 hrs later on the 3rd temperature setting it was at 34% and pulling around 70w when the compressor is running
So that gives 47.6 ah consumed in 24hrs

So anyone who’s been to my workshop for the last more years than I care to think about will have seen my poor Discovery 3 stuck up in the air on a ramp !
I’ve had from nearly new but it’s sat on a ramp because the passengers door dead lock failed ( it had been playing up for a while but I never get time to do my own cars !) and the sunroof drain perished on that side so it started to leak water inside . I had a few months before replaced the drivers side one and you need to open the door to fix it .
So simple put it inside and stop the water getting in and fix it when I get chance.
This issue is the deadlock are a nightmare on these. Land rovers cheapest solution they told me was to cut a hole in the outside of the door skin smash lock out and fit a new door as it’s cheaper than destroying the door trim a that they priced up years ago at over £900 plus vat and all the work trying to do it that way. Now I hate paint work especially on silver so that was not going to happen so it go left until I came up with the time and a plan
Any way last Sunday with the car stuck in the air as a ramp ram seal has failed it been up there so long so I need to sort that as well to get it off the ramp I very carefully managed to remove the passengers seat and door trim without damaging anything , it took me 4 hrs mind you and it was boiling hot so I gave up there
Today the window and mechanism came out and time for the air chisel to smash the dead lock motor out and finally the doors open .
Just need to sort the ramp so I can get it down replace the lock and sunroof roof drain and I can get it back together. It’s been so long when I started it up and turned the stereos and dvd screens on finding Nemo was still in there playing from when the children were young!
