Mk5 Golf GTI was brought in feeling a bit sorry for its self, with next to no clutch pedal, rough idle and running extremely rich.

We dived straight in with a full 4 piece clutch kit. LUK fly wheel and a Sach organic clutch kit. Full intake and injector clean to remove that heavy carbon build up which these direct injection engines are well know for. We then spiced the fuel system up with a RS4 return valve and a VIS fuel pump internal upgrade. Smoke test carried out and found one boost leak which was fixed with a new o ring seal, one small exhaust leak small adjustment on the exhaust and this was fixed. A base map has been applied and some miles are now being put on the new clutch and will be back soon for a full Dyno calibration. The setup consists of;

Air intake
FMIC
Rs4 return valve
Vis fuel internals
Coil packs
Full turbo back exhaust
Uprated diverter valve

5w40 oil and filter
New plugs
Fuel filer
Full brake and clutch fluid flush

This is gonna be a fun one on the Dyno what do you think it will make???

RX8 in for the works!!

•Full Polly bush kit
•New anti roll bar links all round
•Front inner and outer track rods
•Rear braided brake lines
•Rear discs and pads M TECH drilled grooved and vented.
•Sports cat
•Steering knuckle joint
• Rear sill welded up
•Full wheel alignment and camber setup

This now sits perfectly and the handling is insane.

RX8 underway, started off with exhaust system and now working on the back end with a full polly bush kit, new drop links and to finish off new drilled and grooved discs and pads with new brake lines as well. Then it’s on to the front for front polly bush kit new anti roll bar links, inner and outer track rods and steering knuckle. Once this is done a small bit of welding on the back to get rid of some rust ready for the skirts to go on.

Well that’s the intake clean done, on the mk5 GTI now it’s time to install these fuel pump internals and RS4 return valve, and this fuel system will be running at full potential! Then and full service and uprated clutch next before we start making some noise on the Dyno! Next video soon of fuel pump and clutch incoming.

This Mk5 Golf GTI is in with us for the full Stage 2 transformation! 🔥

The video shows the inlet valves before we started the carbon clean. As you can see, they’re heavily coated in carbon deposits, which is common on direct injection engines and can significantly affect performance, throttle response and efficiency.

The customer wasn’t happy with how the car was running and also wanted the aggressive pop and bang map removed in favour of a smoother, more refined calibration that delivers performance where it matters.

Here’s what’s being carried out:

✅ Walnut blasting carbon clean
✅ VIS high-pressure fuel pump internals
✅ RS4 pressure relief valve upgrade
✅ Boost leak diagnosis and repair
✅ Exhaust leak repair
✅ Full service
✅ Uprated clutch kit
✅ Removal of the existing pop and bang map
✅ Bespoke Stage 2 dyno calibration

Once complete, the car will leave with a custom Stage 2 map that’s designed around its hardware, delivering strong, reliable performance and smooth drivability rather than unnecessary noise.

2014 Fabia VRS was recovered in and was in one hell of a mess from previous people causing extensive damage to the engine no names mentioned from this customer losing serious money to no shows after not finishing the job then other getting involved to put the engine back together half hearted causing it to lock up solid.

Customer supplied us a second hand engine that had just had a replacement chain and we were able to carry out all major service parts and swap over all hardware upgrades from the old unit. This is now back up and running with no issues. Just brakes to fix now which is a minor inconvenience which we shall get fixed this coming week.

Mk7 Golf R stage 2 in for some maintenance, new paddle clutch kit along with new fly wheel and a fresh new ram air intake.

A few advisories found along the way which will be sorted in the near future.

No more noises, able to hold power with no slipping.
This one’s now ready to hit the summer roads again.
